Servers were very good, hostess seemed a little aloof. I am sure if I got some of the sushi or more traditional Asian dishes offered, the food would be 5 stars…but, I came at lunch time and decided to try their lunch menu burger. The plating is definitely very nice. The asparagus was perfect. The aioli, Swiss and mushrooms (although kind of skimpy) were very tasty. The burger itself was lacking. It lacked seasoning and it lacked any kind of moisture. It was cooked dry and the bottom of the patty was black. It had more of the texture of a bean burger than that of Angus beef. I know I will be back, but probably not for a burger…. When I do go back, this review will probably bump to 4 or 5 stars, but for first impressions…this is it.

Dinner was so much better than the lunch. It was kind of skimpy for the 2 dishes I got, but my son’s plates were good sized. And one little thing that was disappointing, the house sake comes cold with a wine glass….it would be so much better hot and with a sake cup. But the food was definitely better than the lunch burger!

My daughter and I went here last night as a little celebration and were greeted with super friendly service and a good experience.
The music is modern upbeat but it wasn’t too loud, so we could still carry on a conversation.
We stayed a while after our meal to talk and did not feel rushed to leave at all (Though it was a Tuesday night and not busy. )
The lamb chops are the BEST I’ve ever had. They did not need the sauce to taste good but it did compliment the flavor. My daughter had 2 sushi rolls which were also phenomenal. I don’t remember which ones she ordered but the best ones were with the jalapeños on top (see picture)
Two drinks and two meals were around $100 with tip.

Good atmosphere and awesome staff. Nice new building with plenty of seating.
Tuna tacos were amazing. We got four rolls and 2/4 were great (smoked tuna, land and sea). The other two rolls weren’t bad, just not our favorite.

Aesthetically pleasing interior and food. Loved the combination of sushi and grilled entrees. Loved the Black Diamond Roll, and the soy Grilled Salmon which came with beautiful oyster mushrooms and rice. Miso black cod came with purple and yellow carrots. Grilled asparagus as a side.
I’ve eaten there three times now and all three times were excellent. We’ve also had sushi delivered and it traveled well.

Went here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday because she likes sushi and we were not disappointed. I gave this place a 5 star review for their delicious and well presented dishes, the modern atmosphere, and attentive staff. The management on site was very helpful and attentive as well making sure that their customers were taken care of. I recommend trying the land and sea roll if you’re not into raw fish, the truffle sauce gave it a unique taste. I particularly was pleased with the tuna taco, salmon roll and the big Chicago roll. Next time, I will try their steaks, I recommend trying this restaurant; you won’t be disappointed!

Atmosphere is great, the bar setup is fantastic, the drink specials are fun, the ambiance is awesome and overall a very cool establishment. Good sushi for the Quad City area.

Let me start by saying this sushi was incredible for the Midwest. It’s pretty noisy in there, and the service was quite slow – but it was still their opening months when we went so they deserve a little grace here. But the food is so so good!

The food was amazing, the wagyu and tuna were both melt in your mouth. One of my drinks was a little strong but still excellent. We had a younger girl as our server who was a bit shy but her and the entire staff were extremely nice. We came in early at 4pm with lots of seating, started picking up heavily at 5pm.
My only complaint? No deserts were on the menu!
Will definitely be coming back in the future.

EVERYTHING was AMAZING! All of the dishes we had were prepared to perfection & live up to modern take on traditional Japanese cuisine:
Grilled edamame
Hamachi platter (very generous pieces)
Mussels (the sauce was to die for)
Miso Butter Black Cod w/ King Oyster Mushrooms (the Cod melts in your mouth)
Crunchy Garlic roll
My favorite flavors in order:

Fuji Apple sake
Pineapple sake
And you have to try the sake bombs!

Loved the atmosphere, very modern but cozy at the same time. The staff was very attentive and our server took such good care of us. The food was amazing!!! Everything tasted so good and was cooked to perfection! We will definitely be returning soon!
