I thought this restaurant was just ok, and a bit pricey. I did not see the value for what I paid, I expected better. So I won’t be back. There are better options in the area.

Great music. The Chef couple are fantastic. I coukd tell the food was great from the moment I walked in. The quality and freshness of the ingredients makes a difference. Not easy to find a great authentic Sushi place. Added to my favorites. I’ll definitely come back!

What a wonderful hole on the wall place. Food like this its hard to find. The sushi chef knows what he is doing, and the kitchen chef has magic hands or something. Out of this world flavors and fast service with a smile.

Food is pretty good, but $20+ for one roll that’s only 5 pieces is crazy. The woman I spoke to to order was rude and hung up on me when I was done ordering. I used to love this place but there needs to be some price adjusting and friendlier staff.

My husband and I went on a date night. I called in the reservation on my way home from work. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. The food was fabulous and beautifully prepared. It was extremely tasty and will return very soon. Our waiter was excellent and can’t wait to return.

More sushi lovers need to come here. They have a lot of very high quality fish for the area (even compared to downtown) including Toro, Uni, Bluefin Tuna. Let’s get the word out!! For the rolls, a lot of them look like they’re geared to people who don’t like the taste of fish as much (it’s a local gem) but the sushi and sashimi are worth the trip out of the city. Note that they do not take online reservations.

About 15 miles north of Richmond in the charming railroad town of Ashland, you’ll find one of the better Japanese restaurants in the Richmond area (in a strip mall near I-95.) Proprietor and chef Mr. Choi is Korean but is pretty skilled at Japanese sushi. They also offer some interesting westernized foods. The service is great, and if you’re lucky, Mr. Choi will play the piano for you.
