It was truly a perfect experience.
I did not have the opportunity to visit the restrooms, but I hope they maintain the same high standard of cleanliness.
$41 not including tip for one adult and one 7 year old. So a Family of 4 is easily spending a bill.
Lady who brought my drink was nice and very tentative, she always kept the table very clean and was very on top of it.
The atmosphere is really not the best. It’s such a cool building and has so much potential but walking in I felt like I look like an alien. The worker at the front almost seem offended that I came there to eat.
A few months ago, my last visit was so disappointing that I stopped coming for a while. There was no wait at all, which was shocking after years of seeing this place busy, and the food was not good. After that, several people I know went and said the same thing — poor food and hardly any customers — so we stayed away for months. Even though it’s almost a two-hour round trip, I kept following Google reviews, and when I started seeing recent comments saying the food had improved, I finally decided to come back.
This visit was much better. The parking lot was full, we waited about 25 minutes, and the place felt active again. The food was noticeably better, refilled quickly, and portions were generous. Overall, I was satisfied and would consider coming back. Just be aware that the restrooms were not very clean and had an odor.

A Longtime Favorite in Murfreesboro
I have been a loyal customer of Yoki Buffet since before it even opened. Previously known as Chef Wang’s, I have been dining at this location for nearly 15 years. The reason I keep coming back is simple: although it’s a buffet, the quality of the food rivals that of regular restaurants. What truly sets Yoki Buffet apart from other buffet-style restaurants is the unlimited availability of high-quality dishes without delay.
Exceptional Seafood Selection
One of my favorite items here is the blue crab. Yoki Buffet serves blue crab in large quantities, ensuring that there is always plenty available. What impresses me the most is that the crab is fresh and delicious. I have often encountered a chemical-like bleach smell in blue crab at other buffet restaurants, but I have rarely experienced that here. Additionally, the crawfish and clams are incredibly fresh and flavorful. The cream shrimp and various chicken dishes are also well-seasoned and tasty.
High-Quality Sushi & Sashimi
What surprises many customers is the sushi quality at Yoki Buffet. Unlike typical buffet sushi, the rolls here are comparable to those at dedicated sushi restaurants. They offer a variety of rolls, including eel and shrimp, and even serve salmon sashimi. It’s rare to find a buffet that provides fresh raw salmon like this.
Hibachi & Dessert Options
The hibachi station is another highlight, where fresh ingredients are cooked to order. Adding teriyaki sauce and hot sauce enhances the flavors, making it a must-try. The dessert section is impressive, with a wide selection of ice cream, fruits, and sweets to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Ambiance & Service
Yoki Buffet has a spacious seating area and ample parking, making it an excellent choice for family gatherings and casual meals with friends. However, because of its popularity, there is often a wait time, especially during peak hours. One drawback is the inconsistency in service. While some staff members are highly attentive and efficient, others may neglect drink refills and clearing plates.
Cleanliness & Facilities
One area that could use improvement is the cleanliness of the restrooms, which can sometimes be below expectations. Additionally, the lighting in the back parking lot is dim, which may feel unsafe at night.
Recent Visit Experience
During my most recent visit, I noticed that the food quality was slightly below its usual standard. I arrived around 6:30 PM, and some of the dishes seemed a bit stale. However, by 8:00 PM, fresher items were being served again. Because of this, I am deducting one star from my usual rating.
Final Verdict
Despite some minor flaws, Yoki Buffet remains the best buffet in the Nashville area. The seafood selection, sushi quality, and variety of dishes make it stand out among other buffets. I hope my next visit will be as amazing as before, and I look forward to updating my review again in the future!
