my hookah was phenomenal, The food came out so quick and was so aesthetically pleasing
And the server was amazing! I will definitely be back before my trip is over!!!!
Mixed appetizer platter: it came with a couple soft puffy breads and eight different dipping sauces. I couldn’t stop eating because they were all fresh and appetizing. If I had to choose, my favorite would be the beet dip.
Falafel wrap: well made falafels and the wrap was on point. One of the best fries in town as they were perfectly fried and well seasoned. The mayo on the side was fire.
Lamb chop: our friends really enjoyed this platter and had only great things to say about it.
Overall, we really enjoyed this place and would recommend it to anyone who wants a chill night with amazing Mediterranean food.
The first the pros. This restaurant is marked as very expensive because it has some very expensive dishes but most of the dishes are pretty reasonable between $15 and $30.
Appetizers and desserts are less.
This was good to see.
I got the chicken wings and I have to say they’re probably the best chicken wings I’ve ever had in my life. This isn’t like pub chicken wings they’re grilled tender and charred perfectly and beautifully tasty and even though there’s only six? There was plenty of meat to make for a full meal.
Additionally, our server was very nice. Did a very good job.
And the atmosphere is hard to describe just because it’s not a standard restaurant setup but it’s very nice and relaxing. And the music doesn’t make it difficult to talk.
Now for the cons.
They aren’t that many.
But a little significant.
First, digital menus. Have a real menu. I don’t want to suffer through a digital menu on my phone.
This was a thing during the pandemic most restaurants in Vegas have gone back to regular menus. Or just have both, some people like the digital menus.
However …
For me this is a particular pain point because I am gluten free. So trying to find gluten-free dishes is easy on a regular menu because I can scan the items for a symbol and figure out what is gluten free.
Unfortunately with a digital menu I have to go through everything on the digital menu to find out what that is, except here leads us to our next point of friction.
None of the gluten-free dishes are marked.
A lot of the dishes are gluten free in this restaurant. It’s a good place for someone who is gluten intolerant, I don’t know about Celiac I don’t know their kitchen practices, but I am gluten intolerant so I just need to know the food does not have gluten in it.
But because of the digital menu…
This means not only did I have to scan through the menu through all the different tabs in the mobile app but I also had to try to figure out what was gluten-free by clicking into anything I was interested in.
But the biggest con for me and I know this may seem like a small first world issue, but I ordered iced tea. I got a skinny glass of tea that has once you take the ice into account, about 4 oz maybe 5 oz of tea in it.
That’s fine, I’m not upset about the size of the glass so I do wish restaurants would have larger glasses for things like water and tea.
But …
They charged me $6 for this tea. Way over the normal price for a glass of tea which is usually about $2 99 to $4.99.
Note this was not fancy tea this was black iced tea.
But here’s the real negative of my experience…
When I went to order another one though, here is the big friction they don’t need to add to their clients experience — because why, I couldn’t get a second one without paying those six dollars.
No refills.
Even the movie theater gives me refills.
So even those are the best wings I probably ever had I’d be reluctant to go again because I can’t get something simple like tea to drink with my meal unless I’m paying $6 a glass
This is very short-sighted upon whoever owns the restaurant or created the menu.
I do hope they change this policy — one it should be cheaper about $4 a glass given how skinny and small the glasses are and they should offer refills.
And sidebar…
Also offer sweetener of some kind. There was no sweetener only simple sugar. I am diabetic and the simple syrup is not really what I should be putting in a glass of tea.
Anyway it’s such a shame because it’s a beautiful ambience, the food is amazing, it’s plated so well, the wings were incredible, the service excellent.
Thank you though for the otherwise 5-star experience.
