We were in Chinatown and my daughter was dead-set on eating duck. Since this place was in a great location, near 2 other stops for us we decided to try it out. The server prepared our “duck buns” in front of us and the kids enjoyed the showmanship. My daughter rarely smiles when it comes to food. She bit into her “duck bun” and she was glowing. After seeing this I had to try it. The “duck bun” melted in my mouth. I was floating on cloud 9 and savored every single bite into yet. This is now a must go to place whenever we visit Chinatown. According to my daughter there will be no alternatives. Please try it!

It’s ok for general Cantonese food, but there are plenty of other options around in the neighborhood. Service is standard for Chinatown and prices are ok (but not incredible). In short: standard, solid offering but nothing amazing.

I will give them no star if they allow me. Went there with my friends because the other place that I wanted to go to was packed. There’s really nothing special about this place. We ordered the roast pig, roast duck, and crab. We weren’t planning to order the crab at first but the waiter was so pushing and basically focus it on us. When we got our food, the roast pig and roast duck are very general. The crab on the other is not good at all, it was burned and not flavor at all. We’re like fine it’s not like we ever going to go back there again, but we got a surprise when we got the bill, they charged us 58 dollars for the crab…like are you kidding me, with 58 dollars I can buy a couple of dozens of crabs.

We bought the takeouts from both Yee Li and Big Won. The Yee Li’s roast beef tender was too tough to chew and roast suckling pig wasn’t tender enough. In the end, we steamed them in order to improve them. The next day we used the pork meat to cook rice congee and it was great. We’ve also tried the roast duck and soy chicken from Big Won, and I truly felt that Big Won is a better Cantonese roast shop.

For a place that is supposed to be famous for congee, they do not have fresh and crunchy Chinese donut sticks that goes with all the congee. I was served a soggy left over Chinese donut sticks. C’mon man, get a chef!
