Food was pretty good overall, prices about average and service was good as well. However, the they have a huge fireplace in the dining area that had the entire place smelling like a camp fire. I like the idea but it was very overpowering. We were there with our 15 month old, it was a question if we should have left but we did stay. We didn’t regret it but will question if we should return.

Good place to catch up with friends, watch some ball games, or play music on the jukebox. I had the burger, but the food others received around me looked absolutely delicious. Fairly priced and Renee was a great server. Smelling the wood fire was comforting.

We walked in at 7PM and went straight to sit at the bar where there was 6-8 seats open. We sat down and the bartender screamed that she “wouldn’t be any faster in here I’m making a ton of drinks.”. This was our first time being here and we immediately left… I never mind waiting but those being the first words you say to a customer is crazy.

Ordered to go but the breaded mushrooms, chicken francaise & onion rings are fresh & delicious. Hostess and server I interacted with were both very pleasant. Very clean inside too!

Haven’t been here in a while but was here two weeks ago and then again tonight. Tonight was a disappointment two of us got the special “Chicken Salvatore” both parties disliked the chicken as it had a frozen taste. The filet mignon was good and everyone like the vegetables. The salad seems a downgrade from two weeks ago and was very unappealing. The final order was the tuna which was cooked as ordered had no issues. We even decided to get desert and had two carrot cakes, most was not eaten and had a sale taste to the cake. Drinks were fine and the music good while it lasted.

My husband and I had dinner at the Yardville Inn Restaurant & Tavern to celebrate his birthday. It was our first time at the Yardville Inn. We walked in around 5pm on a Saturday evening and were pleasantly surprised that few tables were occupied on the restaurant side of the establishment. We were immediately greeted by our server, Megan, who seated us and immediately took our drink order. I ordered a Kamikaze but there was some confusion and I was served a Cosmopolitan instead. I didn’t even have a chance to say anything about the mix-up because the bartender (blonde haired woman whose name I didn’t catch) came to our table to ask how I liked the martini. I explained that I had ordered a Kamikaze and she immediately took the Cosmo and came back a few minutes later with a Kamikaze which was perfectly made. Just 2 of those and I was feeling a bit tipsy.

For our appetizer, we shared an order of fried calamari which was lightly battered and fried, sautéed with hot peppers and served with a side of Marinara sauce. The portion was very generous and too much for the 2 of us to finish! I loved their use of hot pepper with the calamari. It wasn’t overwhelming but gave it just enough “kick”.

For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Italiano (roasted red peppers & spinach in a garlic white wine sauce with mozzarella over penne pasta) which was delicious and served as a large portion! My husband had the Yardville Chicken sautéed with asparagus and lump crabmeat in a brandy cream sauce over angel hair pasta.

We couldn’t finish our meals. In fact, we barely ate half of what was on our dinner plates. We took the leftovers home and our sons, age 18 & 20, had it for their dinner. Both said the food was delicious! We didn’t have room for dessert, but hopefully we will get to try it the next time around.

I would definitely recommend the Yardville Inn Restaurant & Tavern to anyone looking to eat a good meal or have a few drinks at a historic establishment with great service! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and attentive to our needs.

Cost…reasonably priced dinner and drinks. Kamikaze cocktails were $12 each. The bill came to $98 which covered 2 chicken entrées (came with soup or salad), 1 appetizer (fried calamari), 2 cocktails, 1 Shirley Temple, & 1 Pepsi. Not bad for a birthday dinner!

Great place to go for an adult beverage and good bar fare, got a couple of good steaks, excellent pasta choices and some old school favorites chicken and veal. Girlfriend almost always gets the Chicken Fantasia and I am all over the menu but tonight was just the Classic California Bacon Cheddar Burger. Cooked to order, tomatoes were red and the lettuce was green and crispy. Sweet purple onion wasn’t so harsh as to keep me from a good night kiss. Beers were big and cold and my go too mixed beverage was the same as the last 8 yrs I have been eating here. Consistency is a very important thing in a restaurant and Yardville Inn is relaxing and good and best of all for me and my girlfriend a consistent good meal out
