Stopped here with my dad for breakfast while visiting from our of state. I grew up here, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been to Yankee Kitchen.
I’m not a huge breakfast person, so I was glad to see that they served their entire menu all day long. I ordered the turkey melt expecting it to be like most others: lunch meat slices of turkey. This was FULL CHUNKY SLICES OF TURKEY! It was HUGE and delicious. I can say with confidence that this was the best turkey melt I’ve ever had. 10/10!

This is a great family run restaurant! This place has a great system in place, I’ve seen them absolutely slammed but still keeping up with no effort. The food quality is always excellent, the service is great, and no shrinkflation here. You get generous portions of quality food at a reasonable affordable price.

Large crowd as always but as always they get you through speedily with amaxing attention given the crowd. Special shout out to our impeccable (and pleasant server. Kim).
Just remember (they have an ATM), cash only! A fantastic example of classic Yankee spirit

Large eatery popular with the Sunday breakfast set. 30+ table and counter. Huge crowd with line but we were seated in 5 min. Large menu. I ordered a skillet b’fast and it was HUGE. But more importantly it tasted good. Wait service was good. $30 for 3 b’fasts is a bit much but with the great taste and huge portions, I was ok with the price. Noise levels better than I expected. Large parking lot. Easy access. This place is a keeper. UPDATE 11/23: Stopped in for a quick dinner on a busy Sunday. No wait. Friendly service. Had a chicken wrap with fries and a chili burger with onion rings. Food was great. A little pricey but worth it.

Been years since I had been in to eat there. Now I wish it hadn’t been. They were very busy yet kept right up with everything. Service was friendly and prompt and the food was excellent. Prices are also very reasonable compared to many others. I had an everything omelet that I fought to finish becasue it was so big. Highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t already.

Very good down home cooking restaurant. But watch out, it is only cash, not credit card! The servers are very attentive and courteous and the food is really good. This is a pretty good size place so there’s plenty of seating and they got me in at the rush hour very quickly. Plenty of parking and easy access to and from road.

Great food and service.. parking lot was full when we arrived and we were delighted to see the locals engaging in conversation and thanking the Lord for their food!!

Came here with family on 12/20/25 as we had been here in the past and the food was good. This time, not so much. My sister ordered a tuna melt and mashed potatoes. Her potatoes were watery and tuna sandwich was so fishy tasting, she spit it out after one bite. I had the gyro and fries. Gyro was OK and the fries were your standard frozen fries.
The service left a lot to be desired as well. Between the 4 of us, each person’s food was brought out separate with minutes between. The waitress also never asked if anything was wrong with the tuna melt or anything like she didn’t care.
Sadly I and everyone else in my group will not be back.

This is the restaurant Obama ate at when he visited Youngstown. I love this place because it has that down home appeal. The food is like my mom cooked. It’s not a gaudy overdressed place. You know the money is going towards the tastiest breakfast and lunches in town. I never had dinner there but enjoyed everything I ate. You should try it.
