TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Usually takes a lot to give 5 stars all around. But, our visit to this location warrants the accolades. Everything was great. The food was hot and fresh, the place was clean and last but not least. The service was impeccable. Lulu, Cheraijah and the rest of the staff were definitely first class. One of my new favorite spots! I have had it in the city and in other states so was excited to see this nearby. The space is huge and the staff was very friendly. I got the medium tenders meal. It took a couple minutes which is my preference cause that’s how I know it will be fresh. It came out HOT AND FRESH! Thoroughly enjoyed it and will come again.

We tried Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time and it was absolutely amazing! The chicken is so good and very fresh. Derwing took our order and was very attentive. He made sure we had a chance to look at the menu and answered all of our questions. The chicken sandwich was very good and had the right amount of flavor. They give you a device for you to hold onto while they’re prepping the food. And when the food is done, it will light up and vibrate so you know to come up for your order. The Mac & cheese was very good and accompanied the chicken nicely. We will definitely be coming back to try new things on the menu.
