My family and I decided to eat here tonight after touring ETSU this afternoon. I saw that it had a good rating overall so I decided to give it a chance. There was nobody else in the restaurant, and although the service was good, the food was not good at all. All three of us got their top selling menu item, chicken teriyaki, and all three of us were very underwhelmed by it. Furthermore, the women’s toilet was clogged, very unpleasantly. This will definitely be our first and last time there.

I have ate here for many years and remember standing in line especially on Fridays however I doubt I will be back. The food quality was terrible! I got yaki and the beef was a rubbery weird texture. Like the past few times I’ve been here definitely no like as was only me and one other customer till right as I was leaving. When I got the check I could not believe the price. I eat at two other competitors often and it’s always much cheaper. I miss the way yamatos was in the old building.

The BEST spring rolls and pepper steak! I’m able to order takeout and walk out the door in less than 10 minutes. The gentleman at the front is always so sweet! We love our weekly splurge.

Unexpectedly amazing! An intimate, cozy dining experience and the staff are so friendly and exceptionally attentive.
The chicken broth was a lovely starter on a cool, rainy day.
The Chef’s Special Steak Minon was beyond perfection! The steak melted in the mouth, the spice was just right, the flavor so satisfying!
Incredibly affordable for the exquisite service and skilled chef work behind the scenes!

We ate dinner here on a busy Saturday evening. We waited about a minute to be seated and Francisco, our waiter, was quick to come out and take our drink orders. He explained the menu to us and gave us a few suggestions. FRANCISCO IS SUCH A GOOD WAITER!
Every meal ( I think) comes with the option of a simple side salad or broth. I chose broth and it was very simple but definitely delicious! They had sprinkled parsley and that made it super yummy. Definitely recommend it if you stop by during the cold months. We got the fried dumplings (they looked like pot stickers to me) as an appetizer and hands down.. they were some of the tastiest dumplings ( pot stickers?) I’ve ever had. My mom and I split the chicken and vegetable medley and we were really satisfied with the taste, freshness, and quality of food. All I have to say is..don’t under estimate the look of simple broth…it may be the yummiest, soul warming broth you’ve had in a while.

We had dinner here tonight and it was absolutely Delicious ! We had the 2 combo meals for $39.99 special and we both chose Teriyaki Chicken and Pepper Steak which came with an apetizer and soup with drinks included in the $39.99 price.
The food was absolutely Amazing ! Probably the best Ive had in the Tri-Cities area and the portions were Huge ! Service was Outstanding as well. I think you will be extremely pleased in this restaurant! We sure were ! Also the restaurant was Super Clean including the restroom ! I can understand why this place is voted Johnson Cities Best because they Live up to the Highest of Standards ! Im Extremely impressed with the Food, the Setting, the Cleanliness, and the Service !

Just left there about an hour ago and geez I have a horrible taste that has been left in my mouth. Ordered Katsu chicken which was actually just frozen chicken strips (not traditional katsu), shrimp and vegetable medley, and spring rolls. Nothing was fresh. The vegetables which included broccoli, cauliflower and carrots seemed like they came out of a can of freezer and loaded with sugar! The shrimp was definately precooked frozen shrimp and added to the mess. The rice was mushy, actually everything was over cooked and mushy! So much sauce! The only thing I would say that was somewhat okay was the spring rolls. The only reason we took the leftovers was because my better half didn’t have the heart to have them throw it out. Over priced and terrible. We won’t go back. I wish my phone service would have worked there in the area, so I could have read the reviews before trying them out!
