This is a really nice text mex taco place their brisket and pulled pork is really good. Their sides are pretty tasty as well. They have a small patio were you can play corn hole.

Service and vibes are cool. And also they have a nice drive thru. Elote was pretty tasty y recommend the 2 tacos and 2 side combo.

A Hidden Gem in Marshall, TX!!!

If you’re ever passing through Marshall—or even remotely nearby—you must make a detour to Wright On Tacos. What looks like a humble, unassuming spot from the outside turns out to be one of the most unexpectedly phenomenal food experiences I’ve had in a long time.

I originally stopped by for a quick bite, not expecting much beyond the usual small-town taco fare. But from the very first bite, I was floored. These tacos aren’t just good—they’re next level. Perfectly seasoned, fresh ingredients, and creative combinations that feel both comforting and exciting. Every taco I tried had its own bold flavor profile, yet they all had that common thread of quality and care.

But let’s talk about the real surprise—the brisket sandwich. I honestly wasn’t expecting a BBQ experience to rival places that only specialize in brisket, but Wright On Tacos delivered. Smoky, tender, juicy, and piled high on a soft bun, the brisket was clearly slow-cooked to perfection. The barbecue sauce was the perfect balance of tangy and sweet, and the portion size was more than generous.

Even beyond the food, the vibe of the place is just right. It’s cozy and welcoming, and the customer service is outstanding. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they’re serving—and it shows in both their hospitality and the quality of their dishes.

What makes this place truly special is the mix of casual comfort and five-star flavor. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why small, locally-owned restaurants are so important to the food scene. You won’t find this kind of heart and flavor at a chain.

So whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a huge favor—stop by Wright On Tacos. You’ll leave full, happy, and probably already planning your next visit.

Five stars all the way.

Friday evening we had the urge to try out the new taco restaurant that opened close to home. Pulled into the small parking lot noticing it is not conducive to RVs, trailers, or busses. We passed the outdoor patio as we entered the restaurant noticing the temperature was rather warm inside. As we approached the casher/host station we were greeted by a friendly young man who gave us menus and instructed us that we would order with him at the counter. We decided we wanted the El Camino Platter, chips, quesso, and two ice teas. Putting our bill close to $100, that we paid prepared our drinks and settled at the only table shaded from where the sun was beaming through the massive, untinted windows!
Then the young man comes to us and tells us they are out of brisket…After conferring for a moment we asked if pork could be substituted. He returned with a sorrowful look stating they were also out of pork! By this time we were becoming concerned asking what could be done when the owner appeared making an offer to substitute with meats that were still available plus added a texas twinky. In all they made up the difference and we were happy with the variety. We ate everything like tacos instead of BBQ.
The advice from the staff is come early if you want brisket!

I am OBSESSED with tacos !! I would eat at Wright On everyday if it were closer. Their menu isn’t huge but it certainly hits the mark. The outdoor seating was a must for me. Starting off with chips and salsa and then diving head first into some of the best tacos you’ll eat! Swing by, you will not be disappointed!! #GoogleGal

I’ve eaten at this restaurant several times over the past year and a half, and it is steadily declining. I’ve withheld my review because I don’t want to damage the reputation local small businesses, but enough’s enough. In short, you’ll pay premium hill country prices for BBQ that isn’t even the best in East Texas.

Don’t get me wrong; it started out great during my first visit. I gave the next four visits the benefit of the doubt based on that initial experience. But during my last visit? The brisket was dry, the beans were nigh tasteless and lukewarm, the Texas Twinkies tasted like they had been made two days before, and the queso was thick and at room temperature. Elotes have a good base, but in the end, you’ll get canned corn. Corn connoisseurs will be especially disappointed that it tastes as if it’s made from canned rather than fresh or frozen corn. Initial bite is great, and then the preservative-like aftertaste ruins it. Each time I’ve had chips, they’ve been rubbery and stale, as if they haven’t been fried long enough and have been left out too long.

What began as a fantastic addition to East Texas has become some of the worst BBQ I’ve ever had. I was completely embarrassed to recommend this place for lunch to my coworkers, hoping to relive my first experience.

And if your mission is just for the tacos? I mean… handrolled tortillas are decent, but there are better taco options in Marshall. Sure they won’t have brisket, but the brisket here lacks enough pepper, salt, bark, and moisture anyway.

Great food! A hole in the wall with an Austin style! I felt welcomed and safe:-). A chalkboard menu with unique dishes that made me want to order 3 or 4. And I was just passing through and almost missed it. You can even pay with your cell phone. This place reeked of tacos barbecue and culture. This place will be on this guys radar when I’m headed to the lake from now on!!!!

Wright On Taco & BBQ has been on my radar for a couple of years, so on this trip I made sure to plan the route through Harleton, TX. Love a place where food crosses different cultures…and hits it out of the park with incredible food. I ordered The Dude and TexiCAN tacos along with an order of the Elotes…off the cob Mexican Street Corn. The tacos are incredible, the tortillas a perfect complement, and the combination of flavors from BBQ sauce to slaw and Verde with cotija worked beautifully. Everything was fresh and the brisket had some nice bark, was tender, and flavorful. The Elotes will blow you away with the depth of flavors in this simple, classic side. This is one of those dishes where you can’t just take one bite…and the chips served have been sprinkled with a little magic too! Had a chance to meet one of the owners…Brian Wright. Told him the food was delicious and I was happy to finally check this place off my Food Bucket List, and I will repeat!
