I’ve walked past this place a million times, and today I finally decided to go in. I’m so glad I did! I was greeted by the friendliest cashier, Deanna, who couldn’t have been more helpful or kind. She took the time to guide me through the menu and helped me decide what to order. I ended up getting a vegan taco that was so delicious I immediately wanted another. I also grabbed a Migas taco for the road, and it was absolutely perfect. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I can’t wait to come back again!

What a pure joy this place is! Fantastic food, welcoming vibes, friendly staff. Hand made tortillas (while you watch!) Lots of outdoor seating (for Passyunk Ave., anyway). Not a ton of parking, but we usually don’t wait too long trying to find a spot close enough, and it’s all free residential parking. The breakfast tacos are AH-mazing; I’m looking at you, BECA! While, the “extra guac” is shockingly tiny, it’s only $1. You aren’t necessarily going to eat on the cheap here, but you will get every dollar’s worth. Definitely a worthy splurge. Pro-tip: you order from the kiosk to the right. And do yourself a favor and grab a Brrchata to drink. Coffee and a delicious horchata are a match made in heaven.
We’ve made the trip in from Delco once or twice a month for a year and have never been disappointed. Taco Heart is a must visit.

I’ve enjoyed Taco Heart ever since their soft opening. I find their Austin-style breakfast tacos to be consistently delicious. My top picks are: Migas, Migas Maximus, Carinne’s Fave, and Nano’s Fave. The latter has opened my eyes to how wonderful scrambled eggs, broccoli and cheese can be. The new turkey sausage is so good that I hardly miss the pork.
The cold brew is from Herman’s, so it’s among the finest cold brew in the city, and the cold brew with horchata is terrific.
The team behind Taco Heart cares about the community, which has been apparent from day one. Everyone is friendly and lately, Deanna has been an especially lovely, kind person whenever I visit.

The absolute best breakfast tacos! $7 but come fully loaded with lots of eggs and protein. So
Delicious! The barrchata is a great add on! Got 3 of the best sellers with different sauces and they knocked it out of the park! Keeps you full the whole day (but yes lots of calories for this selection). Also their tortillas were perfect and did not break or rip easily causing leaks lol which is just also chefs kiss. I devour them every time!

Hidden Gem! The staff- so delightful. Went for the first time and was guided by a magical lady who guided us on how to order. The food- QUALITY. The tacos are stuffed! Prices seem high but when you get the goods, it all makes sense. The two of use ordered a variety of tacos (6) and took two home with us because we were stuffed. Don’t pass on the aqua Fresca or cookies. Happy to have this style of tacos in south Philly. Thanks Taco!

Taco Heart has been on my list to try for a while and I was finally in the area during breakfast!
I was greeted and explained the whole menu which was very nice. The service was welcoming & friendly. Ordered at a kiosk and waited less than 10 minutes.
I got the migas maximus and it was really tasty! The flavors all worked well together, and the bites with chips were my favorite since it had a crunch factor. I added some of the free salsas to it which elevated it as well.
Is it a bit pricey? Yes. But the homemade tortillas and fresh ingredients made it worth it to me. I was full from this one taco! I will absolutely come back for more.

Our group of 4 enjoyed eating tacos al fresco on a summer Sunday. Everything we ordered was reasonably priced and delicious, especially the chicken quesadilla.I had enough to share with other guests plus a snack to save for me. You order and pay on a kiosk, then pick up your drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful. They brought the yummy puffy chips with salsas as we waited for our tacos to be brought to our table. You can watch them make regular and vegan tortillas fresh at the counter. Looking forward to trying their breakfast menu on a return visit.

I was gifted a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast taco from my daughter from Taco Heart! I have to say, it was delicious and I could have eaten two! The taco shell itself was so very good and the green sauce was perfect! Looking forward to visiting their restaurant!

My boyfriend has been craving a good California-style breakfast burrito lately, and while Taco Heart specializes in tacos (not burritos), their menu had some serious potential to hit that same flavor profile—so we gave it a shot.
When we arrived, it wasn’t too busy, but don’t expect lightning-fast service. The wait clocked in at around 25 minutes, so we recommend ordering ahead or just kicking back and enjoying the mellow vibe. Ordering is done via kiosk right when you walk in, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier—super helpful if it’s your first visit and you’re staring down the menu a little overwhelmed.
We tried a few of the breakfast tacos, and the Migas taco was hands-down our favorite. The crispy chips folded into the eggs added the perfect crunch and flavor—total standout. We also did a build-your-own with refried beans, bacon, cheese, and pico. It was solid, but the pico had a heavy lime kick that wasn’t totally my boyfriend’s thing.
The Troubadour and the Chorizo & Egg tacos rounded out our order. We weren’t wild about the chorizo—it was a bit lacking on the seasoning for our taste—but nothing was bad by any means. And shoutout to the house-made tortillas, which were warm, fresh, and perfectly chewy. They held everything together like a champ and brought serious flavor of their own.
All in all, we’re really happy we gave Taco Heart a shot. It scratched that Cali breakfast itch in taco form, and we’re already planning to come back and experiment with more combos. Cozy, friendly, and flavorful—what more could you want on a weekend morning?
