Good food and amazing service. The staff here is so attentive and helpful. The view of Lake Galena from the restaurant is simply stunning. They also have some unique and delicious dishes. I recommend trying the Woodlands BLT app – a fried green tomato topped with pimento Gouda cheese, thick cut bacon and apricots for a bit of sweetness. Had never tasted anything like it before and would definitely order it again!

Extremely disappointing food. Ordered the Beef Short Ribs and my husband ordered the Albondigas al Pastor. My salad was terribly wilted, although my husband said his soup was good. Both the main servings were so tiny they were almost laughable, except for their prices: $32 & $33. We were both aghast and felt totally ripped off.

Enjoyed brunch on our last day in Galena. Rachel took great care of our group, and Gary made amazing omelets to order! The buffet was fresh and delicious!

Solid option. Quality & prep of the food is great even if the menu & setting feel a bit dated. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Great ambiance and ultimately very good food, but long waits at each stage due to apparent understaffing. The wait staff were hustling, so they had good people but not enough people. Perhaps every restauran is facing this issue lately.

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch at woodlands. The service was exceptional, as usual, and the food was great. They make us feel at home. Thank you.

The host and waitress were very friendly and accommodating. The food was top notch. The staff helped us with some recommendations and there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t enjoy about our experience. A+

While the initial service we received was great (the host seeing us to our seat was very friendly, menu and wine service was prompt), we had to wait over an hour for our entrees. I was fairly disappointed with the quality of the food for the price: lobster and scallops were chewy and tasted frozen, salmon and chicken were bland and under-seasoned. My family goes here because it’s conveniently close to their property, but I personally wouldn’t return in a hurry for the price and quality.

We had dinner at Woodlands last night and were very disappointed with the meal. Four of the six of us had the prime rib. I had the king cut, the others had the queen. The food arrived on a cart with lids over the plate as if it came from a different kitchen. The food was Luke warm at best. The potato was not hot enough to melt the soft butter. My king size prime rib was more thick than wide across the plate s it was almost 2” thick. We have been to this restaurant 5-6 over the last few years and always looked forward to the prime rib. The others in my party also had much smaller but thicker pieces. It and did not enjoy it as much. Towards the end of the meal the manager came to our table and asked how the meal was. I told him that it was just OK. He asked just OK? And I said yes and told him why I felt that cut of meat was just too thick. His only reply to me was that two weeks ago someone told him that it was the best prime rib he ever ate. That was not really an appropriate response. I was not looking for a free meal or drink, but how about I am sorry you were disappointed or I will tell the chef. What some guy told him two weeks ago is of no interest to me. I for sure will not recommend the prime rib to anyone, as well as suggest a different restaurant
