Went to have cocktails & watch the game, nice & cozy. Waitress came 1 time, it wasn’t packed (11ppl in all)
We went back to bar for 4 refills
Haven’t ate there yet, excited to try it the waitress won’t stop me from trying that. (Assuming the restaurant has more manners)

Food was DELICIOUS, served hot, and timely! Staff (we met Jack, Avril, and even the chef) were friendly and professional. My husband enjoyed their chicken sandwich, I had their Wagyu smash burger. Their brussel sprouts appetizer and their carrot cake was THE best we’ve ever had. Generous portions, warm atmosphere.

Good food and amazing service. The staff here is so attentive and helpful. The view of Lake Galena from the restaurant is simply stunning. They also have some unique and delicious dishes. I recommend trying the Woodlands BLT app – a fried green tomato topped with pimento Gouda cheese, thick cut bacon and apricots for a bit of sweetness. Had never tasted anything like it before and would definitely order it again!

Woof. I’m guessing it must be nice that they’re the only restaurant here. I understand being busy or under staffed, but even when I was finally “greeted” it was “is it just you?”. Then I sat at a table completely neglected until I loudly mentioned how crappy the service was to the table next to me. Lots of people sitting around staring at each other with no food or drinks in front of them. Sad.

The food was quite average and the service was completely lacking – even though the place was nearly empty. It took 15 minutes to get our soup and by the time we got it, it was cold. My drink glass was empty most of the night.

Food was not worth the cost, but edible. The woman working there seemed barely tolerant of customers. The silverware was dirty with visible streaks and pieces of food still on them and the napkins they were wrapped in still had visible dried food stuck to them. Luckily we didn’t need them due to ordering the pizza and a burger. The water tasted musty.
The other server who ended up bringing out the food was nice at least.

I was with a larger family group with a majority being seniors so the noise level (in the closed off main dining area) and simple menu were good for chatting and catching up. They sat us at multiple tables but that actually worked well, other than our party had to be difficult with how we sat vs how we wanted the bills split- sorry servers for the hassle! I could tell it definitely frazzled one of the staff. The food was meh- some of our party’s entrees came out cold, but I was glad with the one(?) vegetarian “entree” option- the veggie lovers pizza. My cocktail was good, my kid enjoyed her meal and I got to chat with dear family. The lakeview was nice but everything at resort looked pretty outdated and slightly unkempt. There was a very cozy looking family on part of the patio with a barking dog that was kind of odd too but it wasn’t actually a problem.

The food at Woodlands Lounge and Highlands Restaurant has, over the past three years, deteriorated significantly. It was once a great place to stop in and grab a bite, but under the current management, it is no longer serving edible food. There is a lack of quality, taste and even options. Tonight we went to the bar at Woodlands in anticipation of a burger to find that burgers have been removed from the menu. The bar menu. Who removes burgers from a bar menu. EVER?! We were told it was due to seasonality. It’s the middle of April/Spring Break/Easter, aka burger season. We opted for the artichoke and chicken pizza which was tasteless, lacked zero fresh vegetables and took 30 minutes to arrive. The manager of Eagle Ridge Resort has removed “world class” from the label—it used to aspire to such status but the current state of the food offerings across the whole of Eagle Ridge is far from world class. There’s a reason the restaurant was empty. I feel sorry for the nice staff that have to put up with such abominable management.

Absolutely TERRIBLE breakfast buffet! Short staffed, and the staff that was there looked like they just rolled out of bed. All the food that was supposed to be hot was cold. The only good part of the breakfast was the freshly made omelette. I had to refill my own coffee and finally got a water refill near the end of the breakfast. DEFINITELY not worth $22.00. Go to downtown Galena to eat. Better food for the prices. And as for the hotel, you can find much better!
