Yum, such a cute spot I’d been waiting much too long to check out. Friendly staff, good coffee and eats. My husband noted the jam seemed homemade and was delicious, bacon and sausage excellent, eggs perfectly poached medium – Farmhouse Breakfast.
I had the Sweet & Salty and it was soooo good. Tender French toast, thick and flavourful bacon and the aged cheddar.
Will be back next time we are nearby.

We visited White Rock specifically for brunch and chose The Wooden Spoon after seeing how popular and highly rated it was on Google.
We dined as a family and ordered a few dishes to share, including the Forager Benny, Pulled Pork Hash, and Vegetarian Hash. We requested no BBQ sauce or hollandaise, and this was accommodated without any issue.
The wait time for food was very reasonable, the service was friendly, and the seating was comfortable. Parking was also very easy, with plenty of spots available at the back.
The food was nicely plated and presentation was good. The flavours were well balanced and not overly salty. All three dishes did come with a generous amount of potato wedges, so they are on the heavier side carb-wise, which is worth noting depending on your preferences.
One thing we found unusual was that about an hour after finishing our meal, all of us felt quite parched. We hadn’t had any coffee or alcohol, and the food didn’t taste salty, so it stood out.
Overall, a popular brunch spot with friendly service, good presentation, and convenient parking.

I had a really great brunch at The Wooden Spoon. The atmosphere was cozy and comforting, making it such a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was excellent, everyone was friendly and attentive, and our food came out quickly.
The food itself was savoury, delicious, and very satisfying. We ordered the Farmhouse Breakfast and Eden sandwich. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, and you can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall experience. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back again !

We had a reservation for 915am and we arrived at 9am and were seated immediately. Service is always consistently good. The servers are attentive. We never had to ask for refills for coffee. We ordered good food and were not disappointed. I ordered the rib eye hash and it had a slight sweetness and the fried jalapeños gave it a spiciness that was a good balance against the seasoning. The fries were crunchy and seasoned properly. It was so loaded with goodness. I was so full afterwards. Come hungry. Thank you for the excellent service and the superb food.

Our first time eating at The Wooden Spoon, and it definitely won’t be the last. We stopped in for breakfast and weren’t disappointed. We both ordered the Farmer’s Breakfast, which comes with two eggs, two strips of bacon, their homemade sausage, sourdough toast, and a fresh salad. The portions are huge and the food was top‑notch — everything tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared.
Service was great, even with the place buzzing. It does get busy, so don’t be surprised if there’s a bit of a wait, but it’s absolutely worth it.

The food was excellent and beautifully plated. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Just a heads-up, it’s a small space and the line builds quickly, so making a reservation in advance is definitely the smart move.

Went to have brunch at the Wooden Spoon restaurant for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant atmosphere and vibe. They have outdoor seating too. Reservations are definitely recommended if you don’t like waiting for a table. Food tasted excellent. Prices were reasonable and are comparable to White Spot restaurant but you get more food and it’s more delicious. They have a bar and an extensive menu with lots of variety. I enjoyed everything on the plate except for the chicken sausage. Service was very good too. Servers kept coming around with coffee refills without us having to ask them. They also gave us complimentary dessert because it was my wife’s birthday. Thank you! We will definitely return as customers again in the near future.

The food here was really great! The overall presentation was beautiful. I had The So Cal eggs Benedict — I absolutely loved the chicken tinga, it was super flavourful and juicy and the eggs and sauce were delicious. My partner had The Wooden eggs benny and he was a big fan too. The biscuit was also wonderful! And dare I say the wedges were the best I’ve ever had—perfect crispiness and flavour.
The decor is nice inside and out and the place is super clean. Lastly, the staff are very kind and lovely.
