We happened to be there on Wonderland’s Italian special night. Andrea was amazing, very friendly and welcoming. The food is really amazing. The complimentary focaccia bread was heavenly. We ordered a crispy cauliflower appetizer, rack of lamb, pesto penne pasta. The entrees came with a soup or salad. The soup of the day was asparagus soup – it was very tasty. The food was so flavorful, really want to go back and try everything on the menu. Met with Chef Mo too, very friendly and fun to talk to. He makes everything including sauces from scratch, which clearly is the reason for the amazing flavor.

On Saturday 11-15-2025 I went to wonderland with my cousin. I personally had never been there before. We got there pretty early. I would say around 7ish. Walked in and had a couple of drinks. We later walked outside to get some air and then waited the VIP line to get back in since we had already been there. One we got back in we were advised to not go back out until we get a wrist band. Fine okay, so we set at the bar in the mean time and have a couple of more drinks. We then noticed a few people getting wrist bands so we made our way to the front to get one. My cousin went first, she was fine and got one quickly. I on the other hand ran into issues. To add to the story, I am from Virginia and my license didn’t expire until 2027 so I have been holding to that one until it expires, like most people do. On the drivers license when you get it under 21 it’s says on the card “under the age of 21” still have never had an issue with that. I am 26 now. Why would I go spend the money on something that isn’t due for it. I digress, I had this blonde lady my valid driver’s license. She then proceeds to ask my date of birth, I give correctly. Then she asked the address on the card, I gave correctly. They then turn their little light off and take a flash light to it, which is fine, I have had that before and been fine. The blonde kid says “this is fake, they don’t look like this.”(after selling me alcoholic beverages for 2hours) I say excuse me, I have had that since I was 17, it is very much valid.” I then look over to my cousin and then hear a snap. The blonde kid snapped my valid drivers license in half and then proceeded to say “they don’t snap like that” ?????? Like what??? Then the other lady said that they would have to call a deputy to see if it was a valid ID, after the blonde kid snapped it. I asked how they were going to scan it when it was already snapped. The other lady then said she was going to get the manager to see what he thought. The manager, Mo, I think, came out from the bar saying I could go down the road to get a new ID for 19 dollars. I then said I live in VA why would I do that. And then I told him that the blonde kid had snapped in the first place which he was not aware of and said that it was uncalled for. He gave me my money back and then said once I get a new one to come back up and he would pay for that as well. Needless to say, let’s maybe hire people that know the proper protocol to checking a fake license and not damage personal property.

I wonder why I had not found it earlier. The owners and the entire staff is as amazing as the food and atmosphere.
Did I mention how incredible the food was? I attended a wine pairing this evening that blew me away. I believe I may have consumed more food in one sitting than I do in two days. I could not stop myself. Every bite that I tried was unbelievable.
The owners went overboard with everything they did. The inside of this place and the food is just absolutely stunning. I am not sure how it took me this long to find such an wonderful place in Johnson City. If either of the news channels have not done a review on it, they should.
As far as I am concerned, this is one of Johnson City’s best restaurants.
I cannot say enough about this place and I already plan on attending their next wine pairing at the end of the month. I believe their wine pairings are the last Thursday of every month.

I want to start off saying wonderlands is a fun place to go too. But they have an employee named Jaya Bean that likes to abuse her working status there and kick people out for “underage drinking” which isn’t true. And funny enough she was recently charged with underage drinking on 06/22/2025. She needs to go. I would love to hear back from a manager about this.

This place is AWESOME!!! My first visit was for a food & wine pairing dinner & I will DEFINITELY be back! First off, the place is gorgeous! It’s clean. It’s classy. The staff is well dressed, efficient & friendly! The various courses for the dinner were delicious! I looked at their regular menu & can’t wait to try some of those dishes as well. The management was not only visible but very outgoing, welcoming & accommodating! I WILL be a repeat customer!! **** It deserves 10 stars!

The drinks are yummy and I love the atmosphere. Everyone was friendly. The 1st pic was Lemon Drop shots and 2nd drink was off of the menu and I can not remember the name of it but all 4 drinks we had were great.

This was such a fun, quirky place!
Went for a drag show to see a friend perform that we haven’t seen in a while- sincerely hoping they’ll have more shows!!
It was Italian night and the food was really good- and you got a ton of it!
Ended up with fried cauliflower & with ravioli (and bread with dipping oil & salad)~
It was enough that I ate until I was full and then shared with the two folks who showed up after my order to join me!
Margarita was pretty good and cider selection was nice!!

This has quickly become my favorite place to hangout with friends, celebrate birthdays, sing karaoke, Latin dance and even have killer lamb dishes! The owners and management are all so kind and welcoming and the bartenders and servers have great attitudes as well and are always helpful!
