I have been a customer of the Wok Inn for many years. I have tried to overlook many things there in the past because the food is usually good. However, after tonight, I will no longer spend my money there. I just witnessed the owner Mae verbally assault and belittle her waitress in front of customers in the entire restaurant. The night was a bit hectic and I had personally observed the waitress having to take care of 9 tables by herself with NO HELP from the owner. Then. all of a sudden, the female owner starts trashing her waitress in front of the customers, telling her how incompetent she is, lazy, etc. The poor girl was in tears after she had just spent at least two hours not only waiting on all 9 tables but also answering the phone, taking to go orders, filling to go orders AND running the register. Perhaps the public doesn’t care about how restaurant staff is treated – I, however, care very much. I am sure that there are better places to get Chinese food in this town, and I will make sure to find them. But, I WILL NOT support this restaurant any longer. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they turned away the blind man’s seeing eye dog, but there is NO EXPLANATION for the AWFUL way things were handled in front of the customers. When things like this happen, you just know it’s not a one time thing. I wish the wait staff the best in the future.

Friendly owner and I love their ‘shrimp rice noodle’ stir-fry—it’s the best! Whenever I’m visiting Furman, I’d usually call them to get their ‘shrimp rice noodle’ to go and it’s be ready in 10 min. I highly recommend you try that dish if you like shrimp We’ve also had their lunch buffet a few times when in the area, and were always happy! We love this little gem. ✨

Wok Inn has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for eight years! Nothing compares. I drive 30 minutes across town just to eat. I’ve tried places closer to my house but again, nothing compares! Yes, I have noticed changes in the food over the years but what restaurant hasn’t tried cutting costs at one point or another? If you say something to them I am sure they will accomidate you but no need to be rude!

It was so good! Got house noodles, teriyaki beef, fried rice & egg rolls. Every thing had good flavor not to oily everything had its own flavor. The best little gem found in Greenville. Very economic and friendly staff!!

Used to love them and my fav place to go. Placed a takeout order they messed it up, I didn’t realize till I got back home. Called to complain and they said they would correct it however we would have to pay again for what was originally ordered. They did not itemize on the receipt all that was ordered so I got screwed. Don’t recommend anymore.

Food is generally fresh and hot and it is probably a challenge to keep it that way, given how slow the customer traffic is. The seats in the booths feel very worn out, not comfortable. Service is good.

I live in San Soucci so I have two options for Chinese take out, here and Great Wall II in Cherrydale. I ALWAYS pick Wok Inn. Food quality is about even, each place has stuff they do other than the other but nothing is ever bad. But the lady that runs Great Wall is unbelievably rude and unaccomadating, and the woman at Wok Inn is sweet as candy.

Here comes the public scorn for denying a man with a disability service. Shame on you.

Serves dog but won’t serve you with a service dog.

Shut em down and fine the owner for violating federal law. Ignorance of law is not a suitable excuse for committing a crime.

Just seeing your story on the news about not allowing a blind man’s service dog into your restraunt. Class act your store is I have special needs children. And know sereval friends that have service animals. You all will never get my business and I will tell everyone about your mishandling of the subject completely ridiculous

I didn’t have much expectations based upon the exterior of this place but the food was very good. The buffet was kept stocked and hot. The selection was good and varied.
