Not recommend. The workers had attitude the minute we walked into the diner. We told them we had 11 people and they told us we were going to have to sit at separate tables which we were fine with but they were telling us with the worst tones and attitude and that’s considering the fact that we didn’t have an issue with sitting at different tables, we said that we were complete fine with sitting separate. When serving us, our waitress threw our stuff onto the table, and as we were leaving the waitress came up to us calling us ridiculous and started arguing with my husband because of the tip we left (due to her poor service). I’ve never experienced such terrible costumer service and I felt as a minority my family and I was being disrespected from the moment we entered the diner.

Fall season makes me want Thanksgiving dinner. So the turkey dinner special was everything I needed! Delicious! It’s a huge amount of food and I couldn’t finish but i sure tried! My husband had the fried scallops and was also pleased with his selection. On another note if you like Ice tea, their unsweetened is best I have had from a restaurant! We are regulars for breakfast and now we will be for dinner too

Very disappointed with this diners attitude and inattentive staff. The waitress could care less about your needs especially when it comes to a simple glass of water. I had asked for a glass of a water and the waitress threw her hands up in the air like it was the most bothersome request. I asked for my burger medium rare and she responded with, “no”. I replied with “excuse me?” And she was firm on her no. After bringing the poor attitude and rudeness to waitress’s attention she immediately back pedaled and for once put a smile on her face saying “well if I had more staff….” I have not ever once seen a hiring sign in that diners window. My last attempt was to bring it to the owners attention very calmly and discrete, he responded with “excuse me?” And more excuses followed after that statement. I gave up, foods great but the staff needs work. Very sad and they really seem like they don’t care.

I’m here now at 6 PM before a home realty showing. Place was empty but now folks coming in. Got the Beef Stew Special with a Salad blue cheese. Very very very good!! Just asked for a roll with butter. No problem!

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. If you are a New Milford old-timer you remember there were only 2 diners, Stanley’s and the Windmill. The Windmill used to be packed, service and food were incredible. Decade after decade it slipped as other dinners came and went. Today’s experience was incredibly average in an almost empty dinner. One of the other diners in town recently closed leaving the town with 1 other full service dinner and two that serve only breakfast and lunch. Of these the Windmill is the worst. Hopefully business improves at the Windmill

What a great diner! My husband, daughter and I love going here for breakfast. The hostess is always friendly when we come in. We’ve been there a handful of times now and our food always comes out in 5 minutes (maybe even less) and it’s delicious!! We’ll continue going here again and again. We’ve only been for breakfast but based on our experience so far, we’ll have to try it out for lunch and dinner too!

For 9 years I thought about returning because I loved this place but after my visit today I was shocked. First of all, the older lady was rude and I even think racist” she never brought us napkins and the food was terrible! I asked for the works in my dog and she said no” we only have ketchup and mustard but this is supposed to be a diner. Last but not least she never came to ask us if we was OK or if we wanted anything else, she just stood away from us the whole time even with being polite to her. My experience was bad but maybe it’ll be better for you. Breakfast was 54 dollars with one hot dog.
