Great roadside café — big portions, everything was delicious, and the staff is very friendly. And the coffee… they keep refilling it so often you barely have time to finish one cup before the next appears .

We stopped in while traveling because we wanted something quick, but not fast food. My husband ordered the hungry trucker breakfast, I got the blackened chicken salad and our son got chicken strips from the appetizer section. Our waitress was so kind and efficient! The parking lot and exterior are a little rough, but the food was good and the dining area was clean. I’m sure it’s a heavy traffic area so they’re doing the best they can to keep up and keep things clean and orderly.

Not fancy, but, after more than a dozen breakfasts, every meal has been great. The servers are friendly, efficient and attentive to the guests. I love having an authentic truck stop restaurant so near Madison.

I must say when I saw a chilli omelette I was a bit hesitant but my lovely server mentioned that everyone has nothing but praise about it and after getting it I can fully understand why. The flavor was amazing and it seems like it would be a weird combo but it works together so well that I was presently surprised. My coffee was never below half and everyone here was friendly and attentive to the needs of the customers. As a truck driver this place will now become a permanent stop when I’m on 90!

I’m a fan of little, old school diners and Winchester Restaurant did not disappoint. This is the type of place that embodies the spirit of America! Had a patty melt, fries and beef noodle soup……… Everything was delicious but the fries were AMAZING……..oh and there was a really cool John Wayne clock above my table

Came here this morning because our usual breakfast spot was too busy. We are absolutely blown away. We got the homemade biscuits and gravy and the country fried steak breakfast. The biscuits are cornbread adjacent, so soft and sweet and they go with the savory gravy so perfectly. My boyfriend (who is a professional chef himself) said the country fried steak was the best he’s ever had. This is our new breakfast spot. Great service from Wendy as well!
