Really great first impression. It was in the middle of the week around 4/5 pm. Very empty but that didn’t distract from the food. Everything we ate here was super yummy. We got 3 apps and each had a few tacos. Im definitely coming back here soon.

Wild Taco, give me all the tacos, all the flavors, and every margarita on the menu. This place never disappoints. Each visit feels like a celebration, from the first bite to the last sip. The tacos are bold and full of personality, the kind that remind you how fun food can be when it is done right. The margaritas are fresh, bright, and dangerously easy to love.

The vibe matches the food, lively without being overdone, casual but with just enough edge to make it feel special. Every time I am in town, Wild Taco is on the list, a place that guarantees great flavors, great energy, and a craving for the next visit before you even leave.

I had been to the location in Laguna Beach, and had loved it. So, came here this time to try it out again.

Small spot with seats at the bar and few tables. The menu has different options but fairly easy to understand.

I got the taco combo and tried the carne asada, tri tip and pollo asado. I made some modifications so some extra ingredients were removed but it’s okay.
The burrito was apparently really good.

All tacos were all good. I was confused by what was the big difference between tri tip and carne asada.

The counter was a bit sticky. The service was great.

Overall, it’s a great spot. The food is good for an okay price.

Love the vibe. The service can be a challenge when there is only 1 chef and 1 server for the weekday lunch shift. Patio tables and the seats full of sand and food crumbs. My fajita turned out to be a cancer risk lunch plate. It is pet friendly at the patio section which is nice as i am a local and eat out around Newport with my pup. Hope it gets better as my dog loves it here since he was young.

Something a little different for lunch while hanging out in Newport. The tacos were good. Even my taco loving but picky husband said they were good which is saying something. He had pulled pork. I got a mini salad with chicken which was good but not amazing. And it had a few random pieces of jalapeño which really got me since the rest wasnt spicy. We got chips guac and salsa as well. Good chips and guac was good. I thought the salsa was good except too spicy for me. But husband didnt like it much.

Wild Taco in Balboa used to be our favorite, but recent menu changes have been disappointing. The fajitas, once the best in town, now feature shriveled dark meat instead of the fresh white chicken breast we loved. The flavor has diminished significantly, leaving us underwhelmed. We hope they can return to their original quality, but for now, we’re on the lookout for a new go-to spot.

First time trying the cute little Mexican casual restaurant on balboa peninsula. Emma was our server and she was very helpful. She told us that this place is owned by Bear Flag that has a store next to it and is the location of the original bear flag. We ordered their nachos with carnitas, the red snapper skillet and their steak fajitas with a pint of cerveza. They were all amazing. Good size. I am a nachos affacinado and these nachos were awesome. Food 5, ambiance 5, service 5. Will visit again.

My friend Nick and I stopped there for a late lunch. We were greeted with a big smile from our waitress. We sat at a table inside and they have outside dining as well. We ordered chips, guacamole, and salsa to start. It was happy hour, so I had a watermelon margarita Nick had a hazy IPA. We then ordered street tacos. The Carnitas tacos were small, but they were very good. Street tacos are always small. Our waitress was friendly, very knowledgeable and also cute. I left a 20% tip because we had a great lunch and the waitress did a good job. When you get good food and fantastic service don’t forget to leave a good tip! I would highly recommend Wild Taco.
