Not a dine in spot, so not very fancy waiting area,BUT the prep area and ovens are very clean. Used to make and bake tastes treats. Great crew this Friday evening. I even called in to let them know my pie was FANTASTIC.

Hands down the pizza here is the best in the Iowa City/Coralville area. The quality of the ingredients stands out. The crust has just enough crunch. This highlights two more reason to eat here: the build and the bake. They consider making and cooking your pizza an art form. The thickness of the crust, order of ingredients, amount of toppings – all of these variables are dialed in to perfection based on over a decade of slinging the ‘zza. Highly recommended.

Ordered a flying tomato pizza with hamburger green peppers and green olives. Hardly any hamburger on it. About 1 piece of meat per piece of pizza. Skimpy on the ingredients. We’ve always been happy but not so much this time.

Very disappointed that this location doesn’t have the dine-in option as it states in several online references for this establishment. That particular night, take out wasn’t an option for our group. We left and went elsewhere.

We get their pizza regularly; the flying tomato is a nice flakey crust. Overall really good. We had guests in town who also really enjoyed it. On fridays they get busy and sometimes the pizza just doesn’t seem to be as tasty those days, so it’s better to order early or go for a less busy day.

Flying tomato is the best pizza in town. It is okay to listen to the differing opinion of others, but they are wrong. AND THAT’S OKAY!!!

I use to love this place. The pizza is okay. I am super irritated with them because my order was not prepared correctly and basically they are calling me a liar saying it was prepared correctly. I cannot tell you how many times I have ordered from them. Most of those experiences were fine. I have no desire to lie about something so mediocre but it is what it is.

***UPDATED June 11, 2020. Previous review below. Still great pizza, but none of the workers are wearing masks. No gloves. No attempt to encourage social distancing with customers. Really disappointing.
