The peanut sauce was so good, and the salad roll held together well.
The pho was hot, and remained so. I did add some chilli crisp to it for a bit of spice but nothing else was needed. I savoured the wontons.
The service was responsive, and the decor was interesting. I found the chairs to be quite comfortable.
I’d highly recommend this place to those that love Vietnamese food.
From the moment we walked in, the owner — a lovely lady — made us feel right at home. The hospitality alone set the tone for a great evening, and the flavours truly transported us back to Vietnam.
We both ordered the Phở Tái – Nạm – Gân – Bò Viên với Sườn Bò (also known as the Special Pho in Stone Bowl), and it absolutely delivered. The presentation was beautiful, everything we needed was right there, and each bowl had a generous amount of protein. The brisket bone was especially delicious. This pho warmed our souls.
We happened to be dining on the first day of Tết, which made the experience feel even more special — sharing a meal on such an important holiday added an extra layer of meaning to the night. To top it all off, we were offered chocolate after our meal, which was a sweet finishing touch to a lovely date night.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Vietnam on the north side, don’t sleep on this hidden gem .
I have a seafood and nut allergy, but most of the time when I tell them that, they seem to not understand due to a language barrier. I respect that and understand that English may not be their first language, but I believe that there needs to be instructions in place for staff to safely handle allergies. I ordered a vermicelli bowl with no peanuts, it came with peanuts on it. I ordered a Pho with no tendon, it came with tendon and considerably smaller portions of meats than the last time. There have been other instances too.
I feel uncertain about coming back because I’m not sure if the staff even understand when I tell them about my allergies. I think it would be greatly beneficial to explain common allergens to your staff, and explain how to safely navigate them and make the customer feel safe.
I’ve had great food here before at a great price, I hope I can come back if something changes in this regard.
Tried many of phos, had few places where I could call them best ones, until I’ve tried this place. One of a kind.
Mango salad is to die for.
And the owners…
Not many places have such warm heart intensions as the family who owns the place. They will host you like in their own house.
If you are looking for taste, warm atmosphere, affordable prices, great portions and great menu choices, that’s the place to visit. Always.
The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the owner were incredibly friendly and approachable, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place!
