The Phoenix Rising!
Our hearts were broken when longtime favorite White Horse Spirits and Kitchen was forced to temporarily close due to fire damage. However our spirits (and they have plenty to off) were lifted when they recently reopened.
The same 10/10 service, 10/10 food and 11/10 spirits in a freshly decorated ambiance. It’s our go-to for a quick casual dinner, late evening drinks and desert, or showing off downtown SLC to out-of-town guests. Excited to have such a great option in SLC!
Crispy Fried Brussels Sprouts – Amazing! A perfect share for 2+. You’ll want a second round, I promise. The French Onion Soup was a fitting cozy starter on a winter evening. The Roasted Beet salad was an absolute balance of flavors. The Wagyu Steak was stellar. They nailed the perfect ‘medium’ temp!

Was here twice during my visit to Salt Lake City. I’ll talk mainly about my first visit a few days after their grand reopening.
This place is absolutely wonderful! The cocktails are just to die for! It’s quite amazing how well they navigate Utah’s liquor laws especially with cocktails that are traditionally doubles like my favorite – the old fashioned. I haven’t been to every bar in Utah but I’m willing to bet the WH (White Horse) Old Fashioned is the best old fashioned in all of Utah!
Actually that is if you order from the standard menu. Do yourself a favor and use the roulette option! Tell the world class bartenders what you like and trust them!
I told mine I like a smoky old fashioned and I got a bourbon and island single malt peaty whiskey combo that really genuinely was the best old fashioned I’ve ever had because it was tailor-made for me. Then I had the stand in. A mezcal cocktail that offered a different kind of smokiness which I loved too. For “dessert” I asked the bartender to roulette me a smoky tropical cocktail and OMG I loved what he made. It was also really cool that when I got the bill I got the recipe for the last drink so now I will definitely make it when I’m back home.
P.S I wasn’t hungry but I felt I should eat if I’m going to have three drinks. The Wagyu burger is absolutely delicious!!

The Whitehorse is a local favorite. There is a great energy in the place that makes you want to be there. Following the recommendations from others we got the chips and egg which did not disappoint. Huge brown liquor selection and a great craft drink menu along with some great food to share and mains.

White Horse is my favorite place to eat when in Salt Lake. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere are always 5/5. This time I had the duck and it was cooked to perfection and one of the best reduction sauces I’ve had. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area!

First time to White Horse and it was a wonderful experience! Reservations are. A must since this place is so popular and space fills up quickly. Bar seating is first come first serve, which is another option if you don’t get a reservation made in time.
My table and I tried several different items including: fries, fried brussel sprouts, clam chowder (with real clams), duck breast, Croque Madame, Mac and Cheese, Bacon cheeseburger, and the grilled gem salad. Everything turned out so delicious!
There is also a very extensive menu of liquors, beers, and wine to choose from. I’m super surprised at the variety that they carry! Be prepared for a HUGE menu to read through!
Prices were a bit on the higher end, but not extreme overboard. The restaurant staff was very attentive and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was clean and presentable.
Can wait to go back and try more!

This place is awesome! The service, food, drinks, and atmosphere are all amazing. I was surprised how roomy it is inside, with lots of seating options. The drink menu is extensive, and they have a fun option for a bartender to make a custom drink with your favorite ingredients. The food was phenomenal. We had crispy brussel sprouts to start, Wagyu beef, and crab cakes. I don’t have enough words to describe how delicious everything was. Oh, and chocolate lava cake for dessert! Well definitely visit again.

What a nice place. Food is good, portions are generous, and the atmosphere is “brown”. That is the best way to describe it. “Brown”. With the sound of chatter and the Beetles playing in the background, I ordered the egg and chips appetizer. Fantastic. Then I ordered their French onion soup topped with a slice of pumpernickel bread and mozzarella cheese. I died and went to heaven. I finished it off with their patty melt. It was good, and I was very satisfied. Next time I go I plan on trying their Salmon. Word of warning. This place is very busy and popular. Plan ahead, or expect to wait up to an hour for a table.

Top 10 restaurant in Salt Lake City. They deserve this. Ribs was amazing and not small as it is written . If you never tried Brussels and you only remember this vegetable from school than you should give them the chance to show you other side of this green vegetable . I can highly recommend this place.
