We enjoy coming here for a late breakfast during the week. The food is pretty good. The specials are always interesting. I like the skillets where everything is all in one bowl. Eggs are always cooked just as ordered. Sometimes seasonings are off, but not too much. I like that hot dices are on the table. The 313 hot sauce I’d one we really don’t like but Cholula I’d always there to save the day. Prices are Birmingham obviously but think it’d still worth the meal. Service is always good. Weekends are very busy-plan to wait a bit. Weekdays are great.

This a nice spot for brunch nestled right in birmingham. There’s plenty of natural lighting and the indoor dining is kept cool even in the warm spring/summer days. You’ll usually be able to sit immediately. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is extremely friendly.

I’ve been going to the Pleasant Ridge location for years but I decided to stop into the Birmingham location this morning. I never have one single complaint about this restaurant. They make the most simplest breakfast foods delectable! I’ve never ran into a staff member that was not pleasant and you can tell everyone enjoys their job, for the most part. I always go early because you are going to wait if you try anytime after 10am but even still…it’s worth the wait. And get the parmesan cheese grits! I can’t get anything here without those grits on the side. No one else makes them like this. *chefs kiss*

Went here for breakfast. Recently renovated. Cute space. Spacious. Servers were nice and helpful. The food was okay. Got a variety of dishes. Went with the whole family. The only thing I liked was the biscuits with gravy. The price is decent. Don’t know if I’ll want to go back again. But that’s just my opinion

Service is good and the restaurant was clean. The aesthetic is on point as being a nicer diner. However, the food is overpriced. If you’re charging $17+ for chicken and waffles of any sort, I would expect the chicken to be better than a premade chicken fried steak. The sausage gravy is okay. Homemade jam is literally just mulled berries. Wouldn’t be my first choice to come back here again, but maybe there are better options on the menu.

My wife and I ate breakfast at The Whistle Stop Diner on Eton in Birmingham on 08/23/23. I recommend “Charlie’s Skillet” and my wife enjoyed two latkes with sour cream, poached eggs, ham, and apple slices. Two breakfasts with coffee was $40 plus a 20% tip. Food was really good, clean booths for seating and a nice waitress!

They did renovations and the place looks amazing! We came with a big party and they moved tables around without hesitation. The food is always good and fresh and the coffee was great!
