This is such a fun place to grab a great glass of wine. The atmosphere is great, the views are fun. You ring the bell based on what type of wine you want. I highly recommend, it’s also a lot more affordable than a normal wine bar. We also got fun snacks!

Stopped by The Wine Window a few weeks ago at 1111 L St, Sacramento, CA, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. I’m late on writing this review, but the memory stuck with me—which says a lot.

The concept is European-inspired and delightfully simple: you ring the bell (once for white, twice for red, and so on), and you’re served through a walk-up window. It’s fun, unique, and feels like a small escape in the heart of the city.

I got a chance to meet John, the owner, who shared how this concept came to life. He used to own a full wine room nearby, but the pandemic forced him to rethink everything. What he’s created now is intimate, inviting, and in many ways, even better than the original space. It’s proof that experience isn’t about size—it’s about vibe.

There’s a cozy patio out front where you can sip your wine and enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown. And yes, there’s even a public restroom, which is a thoughtful bonus for a spot like this.

Affordable, original, and incredibly chill—The Wine Window is a must-visit. Say hello to John if you stop by!
