Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This is what we got on a $70 order. The shakes were nothing but syrup, one drink was all carbon, we asked for diet and none of them were diet and they came not even full. The fries had been sitting there for hours. The burgers were completely wrong. We call that night to take it back and the manager refused to answer, we went that following morning and that manager refused to do anything. Today we call the general manager and all she said was I apologize and want to give us a free meal. The shakes themselves would cost as much as a meal. I could understand if we didn’t spend a lot on the food but $70 and half my family didn’t even get to eat that night. We asked for a refund and also got denied.

Best Whataburger restaurant out there. So clean. Service was AMAZING. The servers were the nicest most polite kids I have ever seen. You can tell the staff wanted to work and wanted to do a great job. The 2 young men Brandon Romero and Andres Munoz, where the perfect example of how to serve costumers.

I have been to one other Whataburger in Texas about 4 years ago. I was blown away with how great everything tasted. Not here, though. I have had so much better burgers and shakes from McDonald’s. The chocolate shake barely had flavor. It was mostly just cold. The cheeseburger was very subpar. The fries were awesome. Save your taste buds and go anywhere else but here

I ordered the Whataburger with cheese and bacon, and I was very impressed with the quality of the food. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the bacon was crispy and delicious. The cheese was melted and gooey, and the bun was soft and fresh. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal at Whataburger. Also 2nd best fast food fries.

I order a sandwich and shake to go. I waited over half an hour without food. In fact I never was given any food. I asked for my order after waiting over half an hour. After going through 3 staff members I got to the previously mention terrible manager, Maria. Instead of an apology and immediate refund or free meal. Maria explained why it was my fault that they had not given me my food. I know in the past when I was trained as a manager if we made a mistake we apologized and immediately refunded their money, they didn’t have to ask. At Whataburger they train their managers to blame the customer and not take any responsibility. Very sad but I think this is a pattern of more fast food restaurants. They are showing record profits due to charging people and not providing and food or service. Great way to improve margins.

I have had great burgers from here, but today my meal was terrible. The burger was tasteless and was haphazardly assembled. The Dr Pepper milkshake was not mixed properly. I consumed a mildly flavored ice cream to discover the Dr Pepper syrup unmixed at the bottom of the cup. This is the second time this has happened to me. Perhaps more training is needed for some employees.

Amazing staff! The cashier overheard me ask my partner if he wanted to share a burger and then when I ordered she asked me if I would like it cut in half. I said sure, and when it came out it was very neatly cut and each half was individually wrapped. The burger was also super freshly cooked and very nicely assembled. In the realm of fast food, this was just so pleasant to experience. Staff here deserve much gratitude for going above and beyond!

If attention to detail was their slogan, it would be just a slogan at this Whataburger. I keep coming here because I love whataburger and this is the only one by my house… But they cannot for the love of anything give me everything I ordered. They will always ask you for ketchup and proceed to not put it in the bag, but it gets worse. Butter with pancakes? Nope! Texas toast with your chicken strips? Better check the box! Hot apple pie? Missing in action. Shake? At least it doesn’t come in a bag to miss.

Went to restaurant at 3:00pm on a Monday thinking I may have missed the rush hour. The drive up had about 15 cars so I decided to get down (thought it would be quicker) well it wasn’t quicker. I ordered the #1, said to go and waited for at least 30 mins. My order was carried around the dining room until I finally told them “that was supposed to be a “to go” order. Well they sack it, and of course the fries are cold so I asked for a new order. Had to wait another 7 mins, by now I am not happy. The fries ended up being hot when I left but because I had to wait again my burger was cold. Point! Staff does not care about customer service, the manager never came out to speak with me, the employees don’t seem to care and they are super slow. The air conditioner was also so cold that you can’t even eat comfortable in the dining room. I’ve always loved Whataburger food but lately their service and QUALITY of food has gone down hill. I am going to have to find another place to go.
