Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Ive been to this store 2 times and both theres been a homeless person sleeping inside. I placed my ordered at 12:07am. I arrived at 12:15am. I waiting 10 minutes before I was asked for anything. I asked about my order and was told it wasnt done. I was given my drinks and waited. At 12:25am the chicken for my order was dropped in the fryer. At 12:46am I had to leave to get back to work and I left the drinks there. I then looked for a way to get a refund and was only able to call the store. I was told they could not refund it in store for a online order.
After these experiences I truly think I’ll never go to a whataburger again.

Went in 10:41 pm 12/23/2025 got there and was 4 cars back in the drive thru took about 30 min to order! Once ordered got our drinks and was instructed to pull forward….was sitting at the door for over and hr before I decided to go inside to see what is going on! Spoke with Jordan and asked what was going on with our order and he said they lost our order and he was sorry and I said I understand ppl get busy and things happen! He then proceeded to walk by me and go outside to my vehicle where my driver was waiting and I told him to re check the order “missing part of the order” “ 12:13pm” so I asked to speak to the manager “Patrick” he then told me they lost our order and that they got busy… I said at what point where you planning on coming out and telling us after everyone had got there food and ate and left?? He refunded our food and we had to wait on the rest of our order!

The cashier was very polite. I place my order online, and place an order for an additional whataburger at the restaurant. The order was ready about a minute after I got to the restaurant. The spicy chicken sandwich was hot ,tasted fresh and very good. Like always the food was brought to my table.
The price is pretty reasonable. I was in here after midnight and it was reasonably pleasant. I just don’t understand why people use their phones on speaker. Not everyone wants to hear your conversation. Plus it’s annoying.

Came in from out of town ordered a chicken basket ask for gravy for my dipping sauce and then I also ordered an extra side of gravy which I never received either one of them normally they’re really good at what they do how far as their service and ordering and making sure everything’s in your order however this time it didn’t seem like they were focusing like normal the last two times I have been there everything was correct Gabby is an amazing person as well as manager I hope she continues to thrive and become better and one day have her own store.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Drove all the way home just to realize they messed up on our whole order. I have a child allergic to tomatoes and when we got home there were tomatoes on a burger when specifically placed over the app for no tomatoes. We were missing fries, they put mustard on a burger specifically stating no mustard, again over the app. Our Dr Pepper was out of syrup so when we returned they went out of their way to check their bags and made it apparent to try and correct me like I didn’t know what I was talking about when it came to carbonation and syrup. Absolutely disrespectful staff and lazy, I might add.

Seemed like the staffing had changed from the last time I went there. The drive thru person was very professional. And the food arrived much faster. The last time which was about 2 months ago I waited a long time for my food but this time it was very fast.

Went in for a late lunch on a Thursday at 1430hrs. Employees were polite and greeted customers as they came in. I was surprised at how busy they were, but they worked like a well oiled machine. They were very efficient and we got our food as we ordered in a good time. My better half and I honestly didn’t see anything negative about this location on our visit. Would not hesitate to stop by again if we need to visit the AFB again.

Everytime I go to this location I hope its gonna be better but it never is. The only good part is the employees are usually really nice. Other than that the service is extremely slow, my foods almost always cold and they always forget something off of my order or give me something in a wrong size.
