Whataburger

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

This was the worst Whataburger I have ever visited!! The restaurant was a total mess, trash everywhere no one bothered to clean the customer sitting area. The trash bins over flowed with trash, all the employees where to busy playing in the back or talking amongst themselves in the customer sitting area. The bathroom was even worse, I walked in only to find a mess and all the water faucets on with no one there. (Waist of WATER). NEVER AGAIN!

Normally very okay, but the late night service (past 11pm) drive thru crew couldn’t act less bothered or annoyed about their job. Very reluctant to fix mistakes or deliver the bare minimum (menu items without changes or edits). Cringe.

Wait time was a solid 20-30min. Upon arrival had to repeatedly say hello into the speaker to get an employees attention, after which the lady responded “oops forgot you were there.” Meaning during 1pm, peak lunch rush no one is paying attention to the carline as they should. This lunch stop made me lose time that I could’ve been working. Have not yet received food but I can only imagine the “passion” that lies there, if this is how they manage their store.

The food is good. I’ve never really had a problem with their food. This location, in particular, seems to be pretty understaffed, so needless to say…slow service. I originally placed a mobile order for drive-thru. I sat in the drive-thru line for 30 minutes, and we moved forward once. I watched 6 cars leave the line and then myself ended up leaving to go inside and grab my order within a couple of minutes. Just go inside to grab your order. Don’t do drive-thru or curbside unless you want to wait 30-60 minutes

Bro please tell me how, like, 8 cars takes 40 minutes. I got in this line at 11. It’s 11:45 I’m writing this review and I’m still in line. It hasn’t moved. I knew I should’ve just left. I only stayed because there weren’t that many cars, that’s why I’m so mad, there’s been like 8 cars in the last 45 minutes. This is just absurd. If I get up there and this food is cold I’m about to be flabbergasted

First time in Austin and eating at a Whataburger. Surprise! It is very good oh, way better than say, in n’ out. The hamburgers are large size and the meat taste great oh, well cooked and seasoned and the fries are very crispy and tasty. All the people that helped me at this Whataburger were very fast and efficient and nice. Recommended.

Worst worst worst and worst ever I have seen in my life. I have waited for more than 50 minutes for just one brownie and whats worst is they didn’t even gave my order. I left from there in very much anger and I recommend every one of you not to go there if you want eat your food in peace

Service was really slow that night. It happens. I was going to pick up in the dining room but the closed early, some other customers were leaving really mad about the dining room being closed. But I don’t know what kind of entitlement they were expecting late at night for minimum wage. It wasn’t a big deal to go through the drive through. Despite having to deal with rude customers and obviously being short staffed, they were pleasant and helpful.
