Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I ordered on the app then went inside to pick up my order. There was a lady clearly wearing a Whataburger uniform standing right beneath the sign that said online pick up. I told her that I was there to pick up an order and she just stared at me with a blank look. Again, I said that I was there to pick up an order and asked if she could help me. Finally, she stated, “sorry, no sabe”. I’m sorry, then why are you out in front of you can’t help me? Communication is a requirement for customer service and in this case, communication was not possible.

We didn’t go inside, we just got drive-through. But the food was delicious. Our burgers were well dressed and delicious! We got onion rings and drinks. It was the biggest burger we’ve had in a very long time and the most delicious!

I know whatburger isn’t gourmet and I shouldn’t expect top notch good. What gets me though is the service. The service used to be top notch. These fast food workers are demanding higher pay… yet give zero attention to simple detail that would prove their worth. I asked for salt, pepper, and ketchup… not a hard request by any means. All I received was over 10 packets of pepper… no salt, no ketchup, no NAPKINS… BTW this was at the drive through. My cup came covered in soda… not even an attempt to wipe it clean. I kid you not their conversation between each other was about how many fights they’ve won during their high-school career. ♂️ No customer service at all.

It was freezing inside as though the temperature was sweet for kitchen personnel. Wear your jacket. My only time here so maybe that’s a morning thing. You won’t fall asleep. Taquita was excellent!

Dr Pepper shake tasted good. The burger and fries came out lukewarm and lacked flavor. The fries were soft. Service moved slow. I have had better visits here. Hoping for improvement next time.

it’s actually ASTOUNDING how they always manage to mess up my order and forget it. this frustration is compounded by the fact that you always wait a minimum of 15 minutes to even receive your food. several times i’ve waited that long to get my meal, looked inside, and something was missing. which forces me to go back inside and wait for them to give me the rest of it, and by the time im done waiting for that, it’s a 45 minute ordeal. as someone who’s worked fast food before, i can’t comprehend why the hell it takes so long for them to make and hand the food out. there must be a horrible manager issue or something. if you want people to actually get your order right in a timely manner, do yourself a favor and go to chick fil a.

We stopped by this location 9/27/25 around 7:45 pm. The female working the drive through is the most disrespectful and rude employee I have dealt with in any environment. I ended up parking and going in to request to speak to the manager. The lobby was a mess and most employees looked unhappy. I spoke with “Codi” who was supposedly the manager of the location. My encouragement to her was to remove the negativity from her Customer Service line. Although it became evident the whole environment of that location needs work.
