Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

THIS Whataburger never fails to disappoint! If I order and pay for cheese, I never get it. Order a kids meal and the cookie is usually missing. Get the bun toasted and it’s burnt. Call to speak with a manager about the order they say, “Check your order”…I get that, but who is going to unwrap burgers in the drive thru to check for cheese each and every time? Who is going to unwrap a burger to see if the bun is burnt? They knew it was burnt when they wrapped it. How about Whataburger does some quality control and get the order correct as printed on the PAID for ticket. I never have to do all of this at any other location. GEEZ! DO BETTER!

Completely inedible food and zero accountability.
Ordered breakfast through the drive-thru at this Whataburger location and waited over 20 minutes. When I opened the bag, the buns were hard and the patty was burned so badly it was dry and tough (see photo). This wasn’t “slightly overcooked”—it was flat, blackened, and not edible.
I called to request a refund and was told they don’t offer cash back, only a remake. After seeing the quality the first time, I didn’t trust a remake and shouldn’t have to accept one.
This is a quality control and customer service issue. I will not be returning to this location, free food or not. Consider this a warning before spending your money here.

Can’t go wrong with a Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger with a large side of onion rings! Awesome staff, food gets served up fresh and fast, but be aware that it can get *busy* at times. The drive-through line may be long, but they’re inside cooking up the meals with a quickness.

Everytime I go here the drink is either just carbon in it or they run of syrup! Then if I don’t say easy on my tools they put to much mayo or mustard! But the breakfast burger is good !

I ordered online and when I received my order, the bag and the contents were wet with soda and the seals to my food were broken. I contacted the location, knowing it was probably the fault of Favor, who they use to deliver their orders, but they completely blamed Favor. My issue is, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU USE A SUBPAR DELIVERY SERVICE. I tried to contact the driver but they blamed the “girl at Whataburger” for my issue. This is the second time I’ve had issues at this restaurant- I will be letting others know about their lack of customer service and empathy.

What do you do when you’re on a 12 hour layover from the airport and they put you in a hotel. At 12:30 in the morning, you walk 3/4 of a mile to Whataburger. When you get there, you walk through the drive-thru and proceed to jump up and down to activate the sensors for them to take your order. Since you’re not the weight of a car, you ask the car behind you to drive up to the intercom and then you order your food. You proceed to stand in line and wait until you walk up to the drive-thru window to get your food and then you walk back to the hotel. All in all the food was fantastic

Our group of 6 tourists had never tried Whataburger so we parked the car and went inside. This must be an older location based on the fixtures but it was clean and service was excellent! It took us a few minutes to figure out what we were ordering.
We found it interesting that the order was brought to our table with all the sauce options, napkins, etc. – a step up from other fast food experiences.
We requested one of the burgers be served without the bun because of a food allergy – this was done well. It would have been nice to have gluten free options such as a GF bun or fries that aren’t made in a shared fryer.
If we had one in South Florida, we’d choose this over McDonald’s or Burger King in the future.

Always a local favorite of mine to come here. Especially if you work late at night because this place is open 24/7 and we don’t have much of an option when it comes to 24/7 fast food or restaurants. If your from El Paso and miss home. I high recommend the hatch green chili burger if they ever bring it back that is, It reminds me of El Paso. But the thing is, if you come here at night, you might have to wait a good bit because the drive thru gets packed.
