Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This was one of the most immaculate restaurants I’ve seen out of Whataburger. It was so clean it was nice. The service was amazing. The food was good, and the drinks were cold straight comfort food after a long day of moving our kid in the school with across the way to get dinner, but they did not see us for 20 minutes. Do not go next-door go to Whataburger save your money enjoy the food.

Great tasting burgers, awesome hospitality, fast service, and friendly atmosphere! Commerce,TX has been needing a new restaurant that’s not only a great place to eat but, also one that offers a new tasting burger that actually tastes like it was cooked over an open grill. I waited a bit before coming to the new whataburger in Commerce, TX. to let the newness wear down some. The food was good but not fresh like i was expecting being a just opened fast food restaurant. I ordered the #13 chicken tenders. The chicken was somewhat hard and dried out. The fries were warm but had just the right amount of salt. The gravy wasn’t warm. I could tell it had been sitting. When I came in, it was so peaceful. Music wasn’t too loud and overbearing like some places can be. The employees seemed to want to stay behind the counter and chat. There were many dirty tables even though there were just 3 or 4 people sitting to eat. I said something, and the lady seemed somewhat annoyed that I said something about arriving customers sitting at dirty tables. But once I told her, a few employees came out and actually started cleaning up the lobby.

Always go EARLY morning for breakfast before work. Best group of people they even know my order when I pull up ! Alexis always greets me at the window and has my order ready and fresh ! Thank goodness commerce got a whataburger best spot in town

I’ve heard good things about the food but one of their employees came into another establishment with the full uniform on and treated the staff very poorly at another restaurant. I believe in customer service even when not at work wearing the uniform you are representing your company. Shame on her!!
