Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

It’s Whataburger – whataburger should be! My burger was broken in half but it was a free coupon burger so a knife took care of the meat falling out of the bun. Very glad the homeless have coupons or money to eat, it’s also why I rated it a 4 for atmosphere. But for the grace of God go I, probably need more humility on my part.

When I was in there with my son the other day, this store had about 12 employees on duty and they were all hanging around and raising hell even in the dining area !! First off this store is definitely losing money by having too many employees on the clock with no customers during particular hours. And the employees need to be trained better on policy and protocol procedures. End of story. The food was pretty nasty also. The burgers tasted like they’d been precooked and sitting out for hours. I placed an online order at 11:28pm to pick up in drive thru. Waited in drive thru for 15min. Pulled around to get it at counter and it still wasn’t done. However, when I got there, somehow they knew it was my order ans started getting it ready. I give props to the two gentleman at the front holding it together and working as fast as they possibly could. The manager walked by several times on the phone and could’ve been helping the two gentlemen. My order was correct, all but one of the taquitos, but that’s fine. It was a mad house at this location but again, the manager could’ve helped them out.

It was a very busy weekend we recognized through didn’t matter where you got your food inside or outside it was going to take you a little while but then please for kind and considerate there was a great atmosphere in the Drive-Thru line and they didn’t get one thing wrong with our order which was substantial should we were pretty impressed

Beware when ordering from app. They are always out of stuff you order and will not refund. Been here 2 times and both times they where out of what I ordered this time it was soda as they had no cups and fries. Had to spend over an hour getting a number to call for a refund took 3 days to get money back. I suggest just going in and not using their app as you never know what they have and don’t have as apps arent up to date with inventory

We went to the drive thru at 10:30pm and it took 45 minutes to get through the line and get our food. There were only 4 or 5 other cars in front of us and not many customers inside the building when we arrived. When we left the inside was packed with custom sitting and eating, and the drive thru line went all the way to the street.

I have only been here one time out of the soon to be 6 years I’ve lived here, and nothing has changed or improved. Still the LONGEST wait of your life, ever, for beyond mediocre fast food burgers and fries, for even a food as basic as that, Whataburger can’t even make it tastes decent. I tried to give it another chance last week trying to head home late at night, and what do you know? One line, only difference is the line is much longer than it was years ago. You can get something quicker at McDonald’s than Whataburger. Not worth the wait. Not worth the money. Not worth the wait or the money for said food.
