Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

All my items were cooked to order and fresh. Waited 8 minutes. The meat was cooked perfectly. The chicken was crispy and hot. The onion rings were delicious. 10/10 food. Bathrooms were clean. Hand washing area was clean and water was hot. Parking lot was well lit and clean from debris . The store itself was also clean and one of the workers was wiping down tables and chairs as I ate. Would definitely come again.

It’s a rarity that I eat here. Mainly because I don’t live too close to one. I’ve always enjoyed the food though. This particular visit however I did plan on leaving a Google review and it just so happens that their power had gone out right before I pulled into the drive thru. The woman working the drive thru explained and I had no problem waiting for their systems to come back online. It worked in my favor because after they made my order they were still having issues with their pos systems and rather than throw my order away they just gave it to me on the house. Thank you Whataburger for making this visit memorable. The burger was extra delicious this time.

This whataburger for most of the time makes good food. even during late nights at 12 and 1am they usually do not fail to produce good food also the survice is nice and helpful. The only reason I leave one star off is because just a few times I have had soggy buns and another different time the floors and tables were a little sticky. Other than that however I have not had an experience here that was just terrible and most of the time it’s a great restaurant. Would recommend

Every time I come here,I ask for NO cheese & every time,cheese gets put on my burger…..why even ask people if you guys are just gonna ignore them? I’ll be going to the McDonald’s across the street from now on. At least their cheese & tea are actually good

Finally came across a Whataburger in our travels, we’ve heard the hype and banter back and forth saying they are better or worse than In n Out so here was our chance to give it a try.
Let’s start off by saying they are not the same and we didn’t think should be compared. We are animal style fans at In n Out and are happy to have one when we are visiting areas that have one. Whataburger does have a lot more choices on their menu and had we not been needing to try a burger we probably would have opted for a chicken sandwich, we both got the bacon burger and we were both happy with the burger. Burgers had a string mustard flavor which is fine we like mustard but it almost overpowers the burger itself. Fries….well these fries are hands down 100 x better than In n Out ever even thought about being and I would venture to say best fries for a fast food joint, let’s not leave out the dipping sauce and spicy ketchup WOWZA!! So glad I had read many people talk about the pepper sauce and we also got a spicy ketchup and a jalapeño ranch dip….man o man theses sauces all had heat and flavor and would be enough for us to come back and probably order a chicken sandwich!

Great overall experience. Super clean inside, staff was great. The property was clean. This area is known for being a bit shady and full of vagrants but they do a great job keeping them off premises. The parking is a bit limited. Larger vehicles will have issues getting in and out. Re-accessing I 40 is also difficult from this location.

Choose somewhere else or a different location. Tonight we had issues. We were in the drive through for close to an hour. After we ordered we waited another 15-20 minutes by the door for our food. 5-6 other cars left from the drive through while we were waiting for our Two meals. Which was fine. We we get it… we were annoyed but meh not a big deal. They finally bring out our food the wrappers look right. We made sure we got the important sauces and we pull off. We get home and get our food out and it’s WRONG. Wrong chicken sandwich, they put random chicken biscuits in our bags? No Buffalo sauce. Whataburger has went SOOO Downhill. DO BETTER
