Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Order 180056946, Owens cross roads, 8:48AM First time trying Whataburger and it was disappointing mostly from a customer service perspective on 12/21/25 for breakfast. We ordered via mobile and used drive thru. We had to park and wait for food which is fine. We received food and drove home. We noticed that 2 biscuit sandwiches didn’t have any cheese. I called the store and surprisingly Andrew, shift supervisor, answered and I explained what was a minor issue. His comments were cheese was only about $.20 and he could refund that or I could come in and he could give me cheese… who would drive all the way back for slices of cheese, seriously? So I suggested that it doesn’t make sense to drive back for cheese and requested a replacement instead and he agreed. We show up for 2nd time with the wrong orders in hand. No apologies for making order wrong and that we had to make a 2nd trip. We were given new biscuit sandwiches with incorrect cheese with the biscuit. I came home to family to find a breakfast burger that we ordered did not contain a burger but had the cheese and other ingredients lol. I called and talked to Andrew and expressed that I didn’t want to come down for a 3rd trip as they’ve made mistakes on our order and would like a credit for the breakfast burger. He said he didn’t know how that could happen and agreed for a credit. I asked if he needed any other info like my order number, payment information and he said no. Fast forward to a few days later and there was no credit and my charge was posted for full amount. At this point, I felt lied to so I called the store to follow up on credit. Apparently it is a policy to process refunds at the store and requires customer to be at store, so it seems like Andrew lied about processing the refund. But since it was a mobile order, customer care team should be able to assist. People make mistakes, but an apology would be nice, ownership of the problem, and a reasonable solution. Not drive to get a slices of cheese, 20 cent credits, be lied to, or act like customers are an inconvenience when they made several mistakes with a straight forward order (no mods). How do you forget a burger on a breakfast burger?

Today I stopped by Whataburger because that was my daughter request for her birthday lunch. I briefly mentioned I was happy they served lunch all day because it’s hard to get lunch for kids who eat lunch so early in the school day. When the manager brought our food out he told me he overheard it was my daughter’s birthday and added in some swag for her! Such a small gesture made my daughter’s lunch even more special! She loved it! And the food was great! This location has the nicest staff!

Him and one other guy inside were the only two working. He was super apologetic for the wait (which really wasn’t that long). The food was amazing. Kudos to these two men!

TERRIBLE. Cold fries, mis-made sodas (diet Cokes instead of our Cokes ordered), and a bacon cheeseburger that HAD to have been made last night, saved and reheated. 15 minutes I was there waiting for a crummy $32 meal that wasn’t correct… and I was the ONLY customer there the entire time; No care, no quality, no service. Shame on y’all. This location has got to be burning through currency to stay open.

My family and I visited the Hampton Cove Whataburger last Monday, and we were helped by a young gentleman named Andrew. He was very polite, helpful, and welcoming. This location is always super quick and the food is always hot and tastes fresh. Stopped by this week on my way home after a long day of work and was greeted by Andrew. Super friendly guy and made my day by throwing in a bonus cookie! I don’t usually write reviews, but Andrew definitely deserves the recognition of being an awesome employee/manager.

I walked into the restaurant and I was immediately greeted by a young man named Andrew who was one of the nicest employees I have ever met. I didn’t know what to order and he recommended his favorite and it was delicious. On my way out he even threw away my trash for me. All around stand up guy need more people like Andrew!
