Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time. Not a good experience! My wife ordered a salad and a single burger, they was out of salad so we made her order a meal. I ordered a double cheeseburger meal. The young man taking our order didn’t listen very well and seemed to not be comfortable talking to someone. We were charged for the salad anyway but someone else caught it and refunded or money. Ordered at 7:38 I went to the counter twice to find out where the order was because 8 people had ordered and received their food and was eating or had left. It took 30 minutes for us to get our food. When I asked where our food was they said it had been given to someone else so now someone else didn’t get what they ordered. They had to remake our order. I asked the young man that took our order to also bring us some whatabuger sauce so I wouldn’t have to come back up there. He brings the tray to the table but no sauce, when I asked him about it he said “I told them to put it on there” but he knew we wanted it and he brought the tray to us and knew it wasn’t there. Very poor service from him. We will not be back. Pitiful for a place of business not care if they screw up. They probably won’t be there long whit the competition that’s around them.

I ordered an Avocado Bacon Burger for lunch on 9/23/25. They made me pull off to the side lane and wait to get it…. and what I finally got was disgusting. Half bun, half Texas Toast, cold meat and congealed cheese. It was as if they took half of a reject burger and added it to the toppings of what I had ordered. I couldn’t eat it.
I reached out multiple times, opened many help tickets, and have heard nothing back. I will not be returning and would not advise anyone get food here.

Super slow serve and rude counter person. They appear to be fully staffed but they are slow. The food was bland and cold. I guess since it is near the college they feel they can be rude and slow. Come on Whataburger you can do better.

The food was OK, but nothing special. The service was a bit odd. There was some guy running around the dining room and delivering food to tables. He was nice enough, but he was wearing a mask and gloves, which made me feel rather uncomfortable. Is he worried about getting me sick? Is he worried about getting sick from me? Whichever is the concern, he shouldn’t be working in the dining room at a restaurant. I won’t be going back.

One word, horrible. I came in with a crowd and was one of the first ones to order. Then I went to the counter after I ordered at the kiosk and ordered a burger with a coupon. Took 15 mins for the burger to come out. The kiosk order? Never came out. Waited 30 mins before I asked for a refund. Not to mention the customer service was nasty, the worker was rude to everyone. Would be 0 stars. Love whataburger but very disappointed.

Drive through order. Food was good. My granddaughter liked the chicken strips. There was a bit of a wait even though no other car was in drive thru. After I paid, I noticed a car waiting in the space ahead of me. I wish places would tell you BEFORE they take your money that there is a wait. Moving cars through the line and making them wait is not the same as taking and fulfilling orders efficiently.

Fish sandwich was fresh and warm. However, it didn’t have much flavor and believe it the sauce. Service was good. She forgot to bring me some napkins. I believe it slipped her mind as customers were starting to coming in.

Great place this was my first time eating here. I can’t say it was the best burger I’ve ever had but it was good and the onion rings were delicious! Service was good but I was a little surprised that when I ordered onion rings the cashier didnt tell me the sauce was an extra charge until after I got my food. No biggie tho they were fantastic w/out it. I do recommend you try Whataburger.
