I have lived in the Tri Cities for over 4 years now and never came here till recently. I was truly impressed with the atmosphere. I sat at the bar to eat. Service was great. Food was delicious. As a person who has been alcohol free for a year now I was so delighted to see a moxtail for an “old fashion”. It was so refreshing and delicious. I definitely will be back as a local spot for me to visit.

Great place for a cozy dinner for two, or a large group, and always good variety on the menu. Steaks are always cooked to perfection. Servers are friendly, attentive, and well informed on menu items to offer suggestions. The crispy Salmon is very good, as are all their steaks. Recommend trying the deconstructed Wellington. Their deserts are great as well. Don’t miss trying the deviled eggs as an appetizer, which I order every time. Wander down to the hall past the bar, for a nice place to sit and relax with an after dinner drink from the bar. Great atmosphere.
I recommend making a reservation, however worth the wait if you dont.

Held within the beautiful Carnegie Hotel, the vibes are definitely classy without pretentiousness. It’s simply a place from another time. Between the three of us, we tried the pork steak, the salmon, and the beef tips. Saucy, rich, full flavors. The service was just a tad slow, but it’s understandable since it was a Wednesday and they probably didn’t have a full staff.

While visiting the area was wanting a steak, was local for local not your chain restaurants. Found this place on google had mixed reviews but gave it ago. Wife and I both ordered Filet, I had fries she had sweet potatoes. I gave them a 4 for several reason. Steak came out almost well done and we ordered medium, server never did a table check until we where nearly done eating, the manager comped our meals which we appreciated but the manager on duty never came out to address the issue. Just hard to give 5 stars, when I am paying $50 per steak we get this kind of service. Although we will say even though steak was over cooked it still had good flavor and the sides were really good. If I am ever back in the area again I will give them another shot

I was concerned after seeing the mixed reviews but still wanted to try this place and I am so glad we did! My husband and I made reservations to come here for a date night and it was fantastic. The collard dip was delicious and the deconstructed wellington had the most amazing combination of flavors. The only thing I did not love was the ranch dressing, it has a sweet flavor which just isn’t my preference but was still good if you like that style of dressing. It still did not take away from the experience and our service was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here while away on business. Such a great experience! Our service was fantastic! The food and wine were perfect! We couldn’t have had a better experience. If you’re in the Johnson City area, you have to give Wellington’s a try!

Plus- atmosphere is great, our server was really nice, wine & cocktail was good, mushrooms were awesome!
Cons- quality of food didn’t match the price tag. 4 oz filet $28, asked for medium rare but more rare came out medium and was so small and pitiful looking I couldn’t believe it was $28! Husband had the 8 oz filet and it was cooked properly. The quality of the meat was not that of a $28 & $40 steak. When they brought the second steak it was cooked a perfect rare plus.
We also had the deviled eggs & wedge salad both were just okay in my opinion. Cesar dressing was strangely twangy, Benton’s bacon on eggs was overcooked and overpowering.
Overall our opinion is we would not go back because the quality of service and food did not match that of a $150 bill (before tip). If a steak comes out overcooked at that price tag and I had to wait at least 20 mins for new steak to come out then I’d expect something to be offered, like a fresh side, a glass of wine or a dessert, but nothing was offered except a sorry, same thing I would have gotten at Texas road house.

We went here with a party of five. This place is very underwhelming. The temperature of the fries were cold. The service was lukewarm, in the demeanor of the servers was just very mild.
The quality of the food was just what you would expect from a mid range restaurant. We ordered the deconstructed beef, Wellington, the Angus burger, and the pork steaks. We had appetizer pickles.
The pricing was egregious. For a dinner for five with two appetizers five entrées, we paid $330. I seriously recommend you take your money elsewhere if you’re looking to enjoy a nice dinner.

My husband and I had a fantastic dinner for my birthday. This restaurant in Johnson City has a majestic yet romantic look and feel. It is so beautiful! Our dinner was amazing, everything we ordered was very, very good. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of everything on the menu, and she helped me pick a drink to go with my dinner. I would definitely return!
