We went to the Electric Owl a little while ago, just after Ozzy had passed. They had an Ozzy tribute playing the entire time we were there. But this is about food, service, and ambiance, not Ozzy. There is parking on site, paid parking, but there is parking right at the restaurant. We lucked out and found street parking very close. The décor is really well thought out and maybe even classy. The train coach feeling is real and well done. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and checks in the right amount of the time. Water glasses kept being refilled, the waiter checked in several times, even to make sure it was not too loud. It was not. It was Ozzy! We got the Dynamite Krab fries. Oh, these are good. Good size cuts on the French fries, not too small so everything falls off, not so large that all you seem to get is potato. Great flavors and texture. And a good amount of food on the plate. We also got the L.A. Smash as well as the Grill Daddy Burger. The Grill Daddy Burger was cooked to a good medium, still juicy, not undercooked, just right. And the bun and toppings were a great match. The bun didn’t fall apart too fast, not too many toppings, but still a handful. And the flavors, so good. It works well. The L.A. Smash was good as well. Good size, great flavor, not overwhelming. The folks there all seemed to be enjoying themselves. We arrived early, but the place was filling up when we were leaving. I need to go back and try some of the other things out here. It is definitely worth a revisit.

I really wanted to like this place more because it’s in such a cool corner location right on Sunset but everything was a bit forgettable.

Starting with the drinks. The espresso martini and old fashioned were pretty average – not bad or anything but just nothing I’d order again.

I was expecting more from the burger and fries but they just tasted like your average bar food.

I wish I could give them a higher rating because our bartender was friendly but nothing here was memorable or above average unfortunately. Judging from some of the reviews maybe the quality has gone down because they have some great reviews so was expecting more.

Super cute spot and great vibes here! I last went a couple years ago for Happy Hour and I remember drinks were cheap and yummy plus they had a bunch of gluten free options.

I went back with high expectations and the food was yummy but there were limited options for gluten allergies. I got the L.A. Smash Burger and the House Salad. The dressing on the salad was unique and delicious and the burger was good, but since I needed it to be gluten free and bun-less, I’m not sure if it was worth $17!

Train-themed restaurant with cute cocktails and shareable small plates. Came here with three other people as walk-ins around 7pm on a Saturday after watching a movie and we were able to get a table indoors immediately. Parking is available in the back as well as in the residential neighborhood. Credit cards accepted. They have nonalcoholic drinks available. Indoor and outdoor patio dining. Single occupant restrooms are on the righthand side of the bar. They do have happy hour. Service was very amiable.

Food-wise, the portions are on the smaller side, but they are tasty. Note that if you get the spicy shrimp, it’s not spicy and the shell is on, so peel it off before eating. The burger is pretty unadorned and is a typical burger. The mac and cheese had rigatoni pasta with a Panko crust, and I particularly liked that dish. I also liked the beet salad, as it had some truffle oil and goat cheese. The bacon wrapped dates came in 4 and come stuffed with cheese; solid option for those who want a salty and sweet combo.

This place is so yummy! We loved the food. We got the chicken sandwich, burger, and broccoli Mac and cheese. The drinks were good too! This was a fun spot with the family.

We really liked this place. It has a cool vibe with great food and even greater customer service. Portion sizes are good. To those who say portion sizes are small, I say I’m sure there’s always a Denny’s somewhere nearby if portion size is all that matters. If you’re not that person, I highly recommend this place.

A cool place for cocktails and small bites. Was surprised by the quality of my burger especially since their afternoon menu is so small. We had tomatoes and burrata as well but the portion of burrata was quite small. The cocktail I had was pretty good as well. We had to place our orders at the bar which is fine but I do prefer actually being served at my table. The atmosphere is cool and they allow dogs on their back patio. Do recommend, I’m sure I’ll return as it’s in my neighborhood.

So so good! Their basic house salad had a very clean, delicious taste with a lemon vinaigrette. We also got a cheese pizza and 10/10 would recommend. Was a thin crust pizza but good crispy crust, not too thin. I got a strawberry spritz, non-alcoholic drink that was fresh and my friend got the Espresso Martini. I’d never tried one before but had a sip and will absolutely get it next time, very smooth. The bartender was nice and attentive.
