It is no longer NAMED “We Got Soul”. The name is “Ms. Pat’s” The name may have changed but the food, taste hasn’t! I went and I had the baked chicken, greens, and cabbage. Everything was good. I LOVED the baked chicken! The cabbage had a little more spice than I like, but it was still good. I gave my greens to my hubby who loves spiced up food!! But, that still doesn’t take away from the quality of the food. The baked chicken was so good I had to meet the cook, Joe and ordered a whole pan. He was very pleased, pleasant!!! I will definitely go back. If you want some soul food please go visit!!! You won’t be disappointed!

Now THIS is Soul Food! Everything was seasoned to perfection. The turkey wings were falling off the bone. The candied yams are perfect! Not too sweet, not too bland. The cornbread is sweet and moist but still have that buttery crisp. I love that they were open on Sunday. I feel like I’m at Grandma’s House. This is my new soul food restaurant.

Worst soul food! Greens are tender but no flavor, pork chops has plenty of gravy but taste so bland, Mac and cheese is okay! Onion rings are okay but not crispy! Will not be returning! My brother ordered a peach cobbler which was given to him in a container cold which appears it was thawed from a frozen state! No offense but this is not the southern taste I was looking for!

If you are looking for Soul Food cooking with a down home feel, give We Got Soul Restaurant a try. Being a vegetarian, I rarely get to eat “Real Soul Food” cooked by someone other than myself or a close family member I trust.

Hands down THE best fried chicken. Perfectly seasoned with a delicate breading and also perfectly cooked, keeping it moist! Friendly staff. Cooked fresh!

I just had my first and last visit. When I arrived, I was made to do a chore while the cashier, who asked me to close a stubborn front door, sat behind the counter and watched me while I struggled. I hesitantly placed my order for baked chicken and asked for two thighs, only to be interrupted by the cashier with a complaint that she had to start the order all over again because of my request. I finally arrive home and guess what I find in my order? Two BREASTS! I hate chicken breasts. Guess what I didn’t get? Napkins and plastic ware. $11 down the drain. The food isn’t even that good. I had to drench the chicken with hot sauce and I still couldn’t eat it. The bread roll was stale and the mac & cheese wasn’t all that. Stouffers has better soul food than this place. Avoid.

Food was good but not great. Kind of expensive too! $30+ for 2 of us. Will probably go back when we visit ATL again.

This is the second batch of turkey wings that got a low approval rating due to the dryness and hardness of the turkey meat. Not tender at all. I took this wing from a to-go plate. First time ordered was for a friend and he immediately requested a refund because “they were the worst he had.” I’ve had some bag turkey servings and this one compares to the terrible dry turkey parts served to me as a child that made me hate whole turkeys on the pagan holiday Thanksgiving day. It was a struggle to chew and to separate from the bone. The flesh was dry, slightly discolored. The only decent side was the macaroni and cheese. Don’t ever get green cabbage, green beans and black eye peas. All overcooked. Not worth the money or the time to suffer eating it. Maybe things are better if you inspect the foods first and get there early to get the fresher batches, but I do think at least one worker is unsanitary in dealing with the food. Not all I hope. If you believe in God, ask God to help you learn to cook and from where to buy food to avoid what I’ve experienced.
