I stopped in for breakfast, this was my first visit. Upon entering I was told I could sit wherever I wished, I chose a table up front next to the window. A menu was quickly brought to my table and I ordered an Orange Juice. I went over the menu and by the time my beverage arrived I was ready to order. I decided on French Toast.

I fell in LOVE!!! with WAYSIDE CAFE!! Jamie is the best very attentive, never missed a beat she even suggested things that I forgot I even wanted lol.. The prices are great very home some food I’m coming back! Ask for Jamie! All the staff is friendly I highly recommend this place A MUST HAVE.

I am giving a review of 2 stars based on the fact that the Waitress was nice! I got a simple order of biscuits/gravy, and a Chicken burger w/fries. Fries were soggy, “Chicken Burger” was not even real chicken. I took order back in and explained to them the chicken was not real, it was the same chicken patty you can by frozen by the bag at grocery outlet! Biscuits were good, gravy was tasteless. Cooks put no love into the food at all and they will kill this restaurant

Great small little local diner. The service was great, and had one of the best chicken fried steaks and biscuits/gravy I’ve ever had. Serving size was generous, would definitely recommend.

Very disappointing, I have eaten here several times and definitely below average quality wise. I ordered chili and it was nothing but a bowl of kidney beans with cheese melted on top, they should be embarrassed. Too bad I can’t give zero stars.

Went here for the first time with family and really enjoyed it. Everyone loved the food and it’s a really nice little place for a casual dinner. They also do breakfast and lunch so I’ll have to return for those. I ordered the pastrami burger and it was delicious. Some of the family ordered fish and chips, spaghetti, chili, etc and really loved it. Recommend.

The wayside cafe is a good option for the limited selection of restaurants in Rosamond. The decor is a bit dated, but the food is good. You get a decent portion and the quality is good. The operating hours are a good feature opening early in the morning as other breakfast places in the area open much later. The skillets are a unique to this place in the local area. They are well balanced and will certainly fill you especially if you get the biscuits and gravy instead of the toast. The cost has risen in more recent times as most places have. They still offer a good value and I will return to this location.
