A huge thank you to this Newark Wawa for their amazing support of the Spring Meadow Early Childhood Center teacher luncheon. Their team generously donated 25 pretzels, two hoagie boxes, and two cases of water, along with all the fixings, and everything was fantastic. Our teachers and staff were so appreciative and excited. Special thanks to Elvis V. from the Hockessin location for taking the time to help coordinate and get everything approved. The employees at this store were friendly, helpful, and wonderful to work with. We are very grateful for businesses that support local teachers!

My favorite Wawa! People are very nice and they have the food and drink that I like. In occasion they run out of something or the self service kiosks are down. Prices are what they are, can’t do much about that but the rewards do help in that respect.

Beware the Wawa credit card. Hidden in the fine print is a $1.99 per month paper statement fee, because FNBO is apparently too small to be able to afford the costs of being a credit card issuer. Citi doesn’t charge paper statement fees, nor does Chase, nor any of the real credit card banks. You’ll likely find this $1.99 is less than the value you will receive in rewards, so the card is going to cost you money.

I always forget that this location is here, but it’s the best one in the area because it has its own entrance. Unlike other locations with a strip mall within the same entrance/exists or next to a major restaurant chain, I appreciate how easy it always is to come and go. It’s also nicely landscaped which is also not as common with the other locations that have much less green space, and just traffic.

I love Wawa but this location lacks consistency. Twice I have paid for extra items, once for sour cream and today for avocado. I was able to catch the forgotten sour cream before I left the parking lot. Today I was no so lucky to notice I didnt get my avocado that cost $1.05 I believe for the classic hoagie. The attitude of a lot of the employees is also unbelievable. It’s like I’m a burden for having to check out.

No clue what happened over the past few years. Lived in this area for many decades and have seen the staff changes throughout my time here. It wasn’t until more recently that it’s been on the decline in a pretty bad way. They swap people out often, and when you see a new worker- they look miserable. There’s a bigger guy with dreads who I think is a supervisor who is clearly the one setting the tone in the store. If I were a peer, I’d see him working and think it’s acceptable to be impolite and miserable-looking too since that’s how everyone else looks. Not good.
The world is in a rough spot, but it’s up to whoever the manager is at the time to step-up and control the environment. Yall need to fix the atmosphere a bit because I dread coming inside anymore which is terrible business. I’m a tolerable guy, so I know I’m not alone here. High wait times, bad customer service, quiet and toxic-feeling environment from the sandwich line, and increased prices on everything are becoming the norm around here.

This Wawa is a good option for picking up catering. Their subs are always solid—I especially enjoy the Italian and the roast beef. The Caesar salad is also really tasty and makes a great addition to any order. A convenient and dependable place to grab food!

Have been coming to this location for over 20 years. The deli staff is in competent. I do not argue with someone who makes my food. Not ordering from there no more. The communication from the cashier to deli staff is hideous, especially if the deli staff ask you if you paid for your order after you just clarified an issue with the rewards program app that did not capture the sale properly. Deli staff facial expression ( looked at me as though I am trying to get over on a breakfast burrito) I left it there. It wasn’t about the error, but don’t give me a look as though someone is trying to get something for free.
