It has so much to offer!
There are several walking trails, a gorgeous playground for kids, and plenty of bathrooms for convenience.
You’ll also find a lake where you can swim, sunbathe, or even go fishing, and more.
food options in the park, there are two great restaurants right on site—
1. Ivar’s Seafood Bar
2. Kidd Valley, which serves one of the best burgers around. (My pick)
Next door is the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport, making the location even more convenient. *** Where you can go for more upscale luncheon, or dinner into the restaurant & bars and they have jet skis, and more!
The park also has a designated bird-watching area, adding to the natural beauty and charm.
With tennis and volleyball courts, plus plenty of picnic tables for family gatherings or events, there’s something here for everyone.
The only downside is that dogs aren’t allowed
With all the geese around, you’ll need to watch out for “goose bombs” in the grass.
Still, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors, relax, and make lasting memories.
The food/ wine was a bit overpriced for what it was but given it’s in a hotel and the waterfront view, the pricing makes sense.
The butchers block we ordered was decent. It was 250 for 3 cuts of steak and a bone marrow with different butters and 2 sides which was pretty reasonable for what it was. The flavors of the butter were a bit overwhelming but still delicious.
The truffle mac was amazing! One of my favorite things I ordered.
My partner enjoyed the marbled potatoes, I thought they were okay.
The matcha milcrepe was bland and almost flavorless. Similar to wet communion crackers. you get a hint of matcha and the other flavors in my opinion sort of clashed with the desert.
We ordered bread service as an appetizer but it did not come in until later in the meal which was a bit of a bummer because we had already made a dent in our butchers block and we could have honestly gone without. If I wasn’t overwhelmed with all the butter options from the steak the butter would have been good but I honestly wished it was just plain butter.
Overall id maybe come again for the views and experience and will probably try to make it in for a brunch/lunch or sunset dinner.
After that, I met a buddy for dinner. We sat on the heated porch, watched the sky change with the sunset, saw seaplanes land, and boats arriving for dinner. This place is beautiful and full of life. Honestly, I’m not a Hyatt person, but I would/will be if life takes me to this part of Seattle-metro! Great hotel, restaurant, and bar.
I didn’t take the customary photos and videos. Well I took one at 8p-ish in late September.
I’ll be back!
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm and modern, and the staff were so welcoming and attentive. It’s the perfect spot for a special night out or when you want to treat yourself to something memorable.
Highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the area!
