Went here twice with my husband and we had a great experience! Normally I don’t care too much for breakfast food but it was recommended by a family member. Staff was friendly, food was great and although it was very busy we still received great customer service. Delicious, crispy cinnamon apple slices are brought to the table while waiting to place your order.
On Sunday, we sat at the bar because it was so busy, but being tall and 7 months pregnant it was actually more comfortable for me to sit up higher.
Reasonably priced. When busy, hosts quickly take your name & phone number and guide you to a nice comfortable waiting area. You can check your reservation status on your phone or go to the bar (nice touch).
Met 2 great and friendly couples while waiting for/enjoying our meal. Great family friendly atmosphere!

Stopped into Ellie’s Farmhouse for breakfast but ended up staying for lunch instead. I was there with my granddaughter, and from the start the experience was just easy and welcoming.
Our server, Sierra, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging. She even spent a few minutes talking Roblox with my granddaughter, which absolutely made her day. That kind of interaction goes a long way and really sets the tone for the visit.
I ordered the Reuben, and it was exactly what you hope for in a good diner-style sandwich—hot, flavorful, well put together, and satisfying without being overdone. Everything tasted fresh and came out quickly. Prices were very reasonable for the portion size and quality.
The hostess was also very friendly, and the place itself was clean, bright, and comfortable. There’s plenty of seating options—booths, tables, and counter seating—so it works whether you’re stopping in solo or with a group. Parking was easy and plentiful, which is always a plus.
Overall, a really pleasant visit with good food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I’d definitely go back.

Per usual there was a wait here which was totally fine as it went by very quickly. They now have a waiting area which we didn’t go to but it’s there. The restaurant wasn’t overwhelmingly packed and we can hear each other speak. It’s pretty cozy in there and I like the rustic design.
I had brunch here and I stuck with the chicken and waffles as my first time trying this combo was here, and it did not disappoint so I stuck to what I know. One of my companions went for the farmhouse platter, which came with crispy tots and sausage links. The tots were a definite highlight (blast to my childhood so good).
Another friend ordered the avocado toast, and unfortunately, that was a bit underwhelming. The avocado wasn’t seasoned at all, which made it pretty bland. Also, toast should be toasted, but this was soggy from the get-go, which was a bit of a letdown.
I tried their cold brew flight, flavors: creme brulee, cookies and cream, pumpkin pie, and Baileys. All four flavors were great, but my favorite was definitely the cookies and cream.
Our server was attentive for the most part. It’s worth a visit.

Ellie’s Restaurant is an absolute gem! The warm farmhouse décor makes you feel right at home the moment you step inside. Their breakfast is simply outstanding—fresh, hearty, and made with care—and the lunch menu is just as wonderful, offering delicious options full of flavor. Every detail, from the cozy atmosphere to the friendly service, makes dining at Ellie’s a true pleasure. Highly recommended for anyone who loves comfort food done right! Make sure to try a side of the baked beans with barbacoa and bacon.

Yesterday I took my 90 year-old friend for a snack. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with love and care and seated in an area where she would not be cold. I thought that was so thoughtful our server, Sierra Was such a joy, my friend took an instant liking to her. And Sierra treated my friend like a queen. We had a delicious snack of pumpkin bread and pumpkin coffee, and when it was time to go, my friend didn’t want to leave. After much convincing, I got her to leave with Sierra‘s help and we went home. She insisted we take my husband back for lunch that same day so we got in the car and went right back and were blessed to be greeted and served by Sierra once again. I have . She insisted we take my husband back for lunch that same day so we got in the car and went right back and we’re blessed to be greeted and served by Sierra once again. I have never seen a restaurant like this.

This place lost some stars from me not because of the food but because of the service from a manager. I saw how he treated the people he knew VS the people He didn’t, and it wasn’t respected. I didn’t get his name, but he walked around and greeted people he only knew offered them free spring rolls and outstanding service experience versus the people who he never seen he never spoke to. Wouldn’t you want to greet new clientele to get them to return? I was sitting at the bar and he spoke to 2 people around me.Asking, how work was going for them?Asked them how their design projects came out, and how their vacation was. Being my first time he never checked in on me to see how my food was or if I was enjoying breakfast. I hate to bring up race, but all these people were Caucasian. The people around of color he didn’t even look at us.It can’t be a coincidence. This is sad because you are closed to the lawrence area , which is all people of color so you’re gonna get these customers and as a manager , I expected more.
The bar tender I had was sweet and attentive. Id I would be back for the food, I may just order it Togo so I don’t have to be bothered with the blatant disrespect.
Also get better coffee mugs a lot of them as chipped like the one in my picture. It makes me wonder are they breaking these cups near food or drinks. This is dangerous as customers can swallow it.

My wife wanted to take me to lunch for my birthday, and she gave me my choice of restaurants. I wanted a place we hadn’t been to before that did breakfast and lunch. Searched the web and saw great reviews for Ellie’s, and they had a menu that suited both our tastes, so off we went. Wow! I had the Mediterranean omelet and my wife had a chicken sandwich on brioche. Both were quite large and very delicious, and my wife’s mountain of tater tots were cooked perfectly. What a great place. Not only for the food, but the decor was rustic and even the tables had a country flair. Our waitress, Sierra, was very pleasant. Seemed like she enjoyed her work at Ellie’s, and who can blamer her. Really nice place to relax and dine on good food. We’ll definitely be back.

I love the interior! Just gotta be careful with your drinks on the table because it’s a little uneven (that’s part of the style though). This place can get very busy, so best plan your time accordingly.
Food is good. I got the Belgium waffle with strawberries and it was yummy. I tried their starter breakfast egg roll once and it was way too greasy for me. The apple slices they bring to the table with cinnamon/sugar are so refreshing! I’ve also tried their donut holes and those are very comforting. I also recommend their chicken and waffles. I may be simple, but their tater tots are so crispy.
Overall a decent breakfast place, a tad on the $$ side, though.

This was our first visit to Ellie’s Farmhouse at 436 Broadway, Methuen, MA (what was the old Fudruckers). They said there would be a 30 min wait for seating (though there were empty tables) but we found empty seats at the bar, seated ourselves and were happy there. We loved the ambiance and vibe of the place. The bar help, servers, everyone we encountered were all very nice and helpful too. I felt like they were genuine people. The menu has some great selections too. We started with a latte each, which were OK. They use LaVazza espresso, which we like, but used too much milk for the small shot so they didn’t have a lot of coffee flavor, and there was no foam, so I’d give them a 2 of 5 for flavor and appearance.
The hubs went with the Fresh Veggie Bowl and was happy with it. It was a little small compared to similar bowls at other restaurants, but he said it filled him up. I ordered the Laguna Bennie and it was pretty tasty. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the guacamole was yum, there wasn’t much of the pesto to taste, so I’m not sure if that had flavor. The hollandaise was underwhelming and quite plain. I did not eat the English Muffin, because it was more like a thick, soft, doughy bread, not what I had hoped for. The tomato slices were good sized, but the menu said “grilled tomato” and mine was definitely not grilled, there was no charring, heat and they had no flavor. The home fries were good. So overall, though mine was good enough, it wasn’t great. I had hoped for great. We both said we’d go back and try it again. I’ll update this post when we do that.
Additional info: I overheard the couple next to us saying they were going to “write this place off our list” so I asked them why. Neither of them liked their breakfasts, saying they were very “plain”. They had ordered omelettes and said there were no herbs or flavor. One had also ordered a flight of Mimosas which looked really pretty, but when I asked why she wasn’t drinking them, she said they were terrible. Most of the food was left on their plates and all but one sip of each mimosa was left. We had a much better experience than they did!!!!
