Proud owners Deb Garrison and John Tucker have lived in Kentucky their entire lives. They have owned many businesses over the years but the Waterfront Grill is their pride and joy! We came here for a comedy show on January 10th 2026. Everything was fine with the show. And I really enjoyed it.
We cannot seem to get a drink or place a food order even though I went straight to the bar.
They need to hire a 2nd waiter or something. This isn’t acceptable. My wife and I sat for 45min just to get someone to wait on us and then they gave away our drinks to someone else.
Please hire a 2nd person to act as waiter for events like this. The poor woman was struggling. I feel bad for her.
Edit: we did finally get our drinks. If we get any food I will update the review.
Edit 2: I am bumping up the review to a 4 star my whiskey sour and her pixie martini are both excellent. The onion rings and Beer cheese platter was perfect.
If you decide to come to the comedy show I would reccomend you come early to get your drinks/food ordered. Otherwise you will have to wait till after the show to enjoy your meal.
Still a great venue and I am looking forward to the next show!

Absolute worse wait staff. Food was good one time I’ve been there but I went during a comedy show and the wait staff was so terrible that my food came out soggy without condiments and missing sides. Got my beer wrong twice and each one took 30 minutes to get. I would never go out of my way to leave a bad review of a place but this was worth mentioning. They desperately need to replace these terrible waitresses.

Stopped here on our way back after doing a zip line tour. Food was good and as promised there are views of the river especially for the outside seating. Service was excellent. Ordered the burger and pasta salad. Both were good. Liked the unique decor. They also had live music when we were there on a Saturday night. Glad we stopped.

Flank steak with fries and baked beans. Beer cheese appetizer, yum. If you want a little heat with your cheese, gonna get it here. But not too hot. Meatloaf, potato salad and onion rings for hubby. He was very happy. Waitress was very accommodating and pleasant, Haley was her name.

I gave it 2-stars based on food alone, which was decent, but didn’t come close to the negatives. The atmosphere is ok, but the view of the river is hindered by trees. -5/5 for service. Went there with my family and we all said the same. The server forgot drinks, refills, sides… almost through with diner and 2 more servers show. One thats practically blind… I mean it took the guy a full minute to look at a step or two and come down them—as in literally blind, no offense to him, just dont make him do the stairs! It really felt like a deliverance kinda place… when we were almost finished we overheard a server saying man we’re really busy today. They had 3 tables total, which probably is quite busy for them based on service. I, nor my family, will ever return. There are much better places on the river for a meal.
