The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, but service was impressively quick and genuinely friendly, which immediately made the experience feel welcoming. The carpaccio was fine, pleasant but fairly straightforward, but everything else we ordered was excellent

The octopus was tender, and hearty, paired nicely with potatoes, hummus, some greens, and capers. It was well-balanced and satisfying without feeling heavy. The steak came out a perfect medium-rare and juicy. The nut topping on the fish added a really nice crunch, contrasting beautifully with the soft, tender flesh of the fish.

And then there was the duck: the clear standout of the night. It was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The fat kept it incredibly juicy without feeling greasy. The charred cabbage on the side added a subtle smokiness that tied everything together perfectly. Every bite honestly made me happier and happier.

Getting to the restaurant was a little confusing at first, but once you’re there, it’s absolutely worth it. A really enjoyable meal overall, and especially memorable for that duck dish. Definitely a place I’d return to.

Parking can be found behind the restaurant.

The restaurant is a bit dark inside for dinners.

Very good service. However, the risotto was just okay. Lobster pasta was tasty in comparison. A slice of basque cheesecake for $18 was overkill for what you get (this type of cake is everywhere in Markham – a higher price point did not necessarily indicate any great difference in taste).

My brother brought me here to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The seasonal lights at the building entrance were beautifully decorated, warm and festive.

The food was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented; every dish showed great care and attention to detail. The portions were perfect, and everything tasted absolutely delicious.

Every staff member was incredibly friendly, always greeting us with happy, smiling faces throughout the meal. Their warm attitude made the atmosphere feel welcoming and comfortable, and they checked in at just the right moments without ever making us feel rushed.

The restaurant is warm, clean, and relaxing, a lovely place to enjoy a meal with loved ones.
A true gem in Unionville. Delicious food, amazing service, perfect portions, and a genuinely pleasant dining experience.

Fantastic atmosphere. Would highly recommend going at least once, the food also comes in huge portions which explains the price tag.

However, the food was a little disappointing.

The octopus starter came with capers and hummus. I love hummus but it made no sense with octopus.

The salmon main course was cooked with the skin on, but was served skin side down?! Which turned the skin completely soggy and inedible. Which was surprising to see at a fine dining restaurant.

Our second main dish was the lobster pasta. It was cooked in a floral tomato sauce which again made no sense with the lobster.

The service was ok, nothing bad but also not memorable. I wouldn’t care normally but for a 120$/person restaurant, I expected more attention.

Overall, I’d probably visit again and give them a second chance with some of the other dishes.

Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The space itself is beautiful, warm, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with a great bar and an atmosphere that feels upscale without being stuffy.

The food was delicious- The steak was cooked exactly right, tender, flavourful, and paired really well with the roasted vegetables and sauce.

Service was attentive without being overbearing, and everything came out at a great pace. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the kitchen and the overall experience.

Easily a place I would come back to and recommend.

Long wait time (food took 50 min to come). Steak tastes great on the salty peppery side and has great presentation. Roasted vegetables had simple but excellent flavours; each pieces had its distinct roasted and sweet taste (wished the portion was bigger). This was better value than the duck at the same price point but slightly bigger portion.

Duck was good, tastes as you would expect from a duck, with a flavoured sauce and truffle slices. Mash potato was fluffy without much texture and flavour on the lighter end.

Don’t be discouraged by the current construction because this is a gem. The restaurant was ready to welcome you, and take you to your table – very attentive and organized. Interior is modern, elegant and comfortable. Our server was top-of-the-line, reciting all specials with ease and expertise. Now for the food – excellent all around. The lobster roll special had to be one of my favourite rolls thus far. It was lightly creamy, tender, with a nice bite of citrus – bun was perfectly buttered and equally soft with a nice crispy bite.

4-star review! This restaurant exceeded my expectations. The dining atmosphere is above average—clean and cozy, and it’s great for friends’ gatherings (saw three birthday tables during my visit). Service was good, staff were friendly and responsive. Food quality and flavor were reliable, even better than expected. Price matches the ambiance and service well. Recommended for a comfortable friends’ hangout!

A beautiful atmosphere and restaurant for celebrations/special occasions. The fried feta and calamari were yum. Our mains were the rack of lamb (flavourful!) and the lobster paccheri. The bisque and lobster flavour were delicious, but it took al dente a little too far and ended up being crunchy and gritty. Cocktail specials were tasty! Nothing particularly blew me away but it also tasted pretty good – the pasta texture could’ve been a one time thing.

The restaurant has a cozy vibe, and the upstairs seating was fairly spacious. We were seated in a nice plushy booth.

Although it was busy, we didn’t feel rushed, and we were able to have a nice meal. We shared the winter salad, octopus, and calamari to start, as well as the branzino, lobster tagliatelle, and short rib rigatoni. Everything was flavorful and yummy. The wine recommended was also great.

Main Street currently being closed for construction is a bit challenging, but there is parking behind the restaurant (you can access it via the entrance near Jake’s on Main) or in the lot across the street.
