As far as college dining halls go I dont think its half bad (can’t compare it to others to be fair) but the amount of times I have gotten food poisoning from Wash makes my stomach churn. I loathe having to go there for food sometimes when the options aren’t great. You eventually learn what foods to avoid just simply through trial and error. Once in a while they have themed dinners throughout the semester, it feels like effort is really put into these and it shows, the food is good, the atmosphere is amazing, and the people who live in the dorms and never eat at Wash show up as well, so kudos to them. I also give props to the baked goods always being top notch no matter whats being served. I also have various concerns over there being mice, rats, and roaches throughout the building.

The food is either undercooked/raw (chicken being a huge hazard) or unavailable. This a shame for students to be forced to pay for a dining plan their first year. Abysmal.

Washakie is a good place if you’re looking for an eat-all-you-can place that offers a variety of food. There’s pizza, pasta, burgers, a gluten-friendly section, Asian and Mexican cuisine, a sandwich station, a dessert station, and a very impressive salad bar. Every now and then Washakie has themed dinners (Latin Night, Through the Decades, etc.) that showcase all kinds of food. It’s a nice place to hangout with friends as well.

The most convenient place to have meal and work on your homeworks. I love the variety of food and big windows and great atmosphere

Their gf food options are some of the worst I’ve seen at a college cafeteria. I would think they’d have better options than plain rice and overcooked chicken. This visit half of their drink stations were non- operational.

Good variety of food, but sometimes you get just bored of it

Definitely has good food, though the Diet Dr Pepper seems a little sugary, can’t wait to come back again when I do go to UW

It’s not horrible for a college dining hall, but I’ve had far better. The pizza is dripping with grease and I swear all the meat at the “classic” area is not actually meat. It always looks very rubbery. I got food poisoning from a salad I had there last week so just be careful. They have random boughts of like 2 or 3 days ina row where the food is actually good, but mostly it’s just mediocre. Unless you’re a student here and have the meal plan, don’t pay to eat here.

Food is good, unlimited meal plan makes it even better. Staff is friendly and courteous, the food is hot, and the drinks are cold and variety is plenty. The dining room is big and usually kept tidy. There’s even dessert and complimentary fruit! Just wish there was a recycling bin instead of all the trash going to the land fill 🙁

The food is terrible. No vegan proteins for breakfast, staff mix meat into vegan dishes regularly, and there is no continental breakfast or late lunch most days. Pets are allowed near the food, not certified service animals, but pets. You cannot trust the menus, “crepes” are omelettes with cottage cheese and applesauce and “pho” is raw vegetables and noodles without soup. If you have dietary concerns this is a dangerous kitchen. The staff who swipe you in are nice, but the rest of the operation is awful.
