“Great food and lovely atmosphere! Perfect spot for anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine. However, the sushi is not their strongest point otherwise the rest of the food was delicious food

Great service during happy hour. Very tentative and quality sushi. Plenty of parking and good for kids. Highly recommend. Thank you.

This is the best Japanese restaurant I have ever been to. I will travel from Saint Stephen again and again just to come to this location. Even just to serve me water out of a wine glass made me feel good. The food was prepared with love. Our waiter he was smooth. Nice tone of voice, and called you boss. Thank you for great service. And by the way we were greeted as soon as we entered the establishment. ☺️

I’m not sure if the sushi chef has been changed but the sushi rolls were not the same. Thinner portions of mango or meat inside rolls. Calamari is getting smaller portions each visit. Barely any sauce on top and just dry calamari. Spoke to management many times in past and nothing changes. Very disappointed, been coming over 5 years and never as good as the first time.

Also paid cash, why was I charged $1.90 for a credit card payment when I paid cash?! Your mistake you took out of server tips, shame on you. She was amazing and you stole from her.

When I was reading some of the reviews, I was wondering if I had the wrong place in mind. In all fairness, this is under a new owner as of a few months ago. I say mid 2025. So a lot of the reviews are from the old era. The new owner is a young guy, always smiling and making things right if there is an issue. I eat here two times a week. Sometime at the bar by myself or family on the high tables during happy hour. No complaints here! Hopefully this place stays on top of it like they have been.

Great happy hour at Wasabi. The lettuce wraps and the Japanese dumplings are my favorite. Great drink prices. Generous portions, had enough for leftovers. Service was friendly and efficient. Glad it’s local.

Wasabi in Mount Pleasant is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking all around. I went twice this week and had no trouble finding a spot either time. They open at 11:30 Tuesday through Sunday. When you walk in, the restaurant is clean and inviting. There’s a sushi bar to the right, a dining and bar area to the left, and outdoor patio seating as well. I think there’s also a larger dining room connected to the sushi bar side. The place has a nice atmosphere with stylish and colorful accents that make it feel lively and modern.

The staff were all friendly and attentive, from the host to the servers. I had the house ramen bowl and it was fantastic—pork belly, egg, mushrooms, and noodles in a rich flavorful broth. I also tried the vegetarian spring rolls and the rock shrimp tempura, which came in a creamy spicy sauce. Everything I ordered was great.

They have a full bar and also serve boba tea, which is a fun bonus. The menu has a ton of options including sushi, sashimi, hibachi, Thai dishes, and even brunch items. Overall it’s a really nice spot with good food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.

The service and food quality were equally disappointing. Everyone’s food came out at all different times, I wound up getting my dinner 15 min after my husband and daughter received theirs. We never received our appetizer and when we brought it to our servers attention, he shrugged and brought it out after everyone was halfway finished with their dinner. To top it off, they have a door chyme that is so loud and constantly going off, it really brings down the mood. There are so many other elevated sushi options in the area to enjoy.

Our family of 4 just got takeout and it was absolutely terrible. For close to $90 for the meal, I have never had a more bland, tasteless, and disappointed assortment of food. Whether the miso soup (tasted diluted) or the fried rice(which taste like just brown rice with few additions), or the worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had, we will certainly not be back. Panda Express at the mall or airport taste better than this and at a fraction of the price.

I was a bit indecisive about this Japanese spot tonight, my go to is Ischiban steakhouse. I wanted to try something different, and I’m pleased with my decision. This was the equivalent of a four star restaurant or five star hotel. High quality, authentic Japanese food. I ordered the hibachi combination; shrimp and scallops and pad Thai with shrimp. Way better than Ischiban. Portion size was great. Perfecto! I will order again very soon. Inshallah
