We use the best ingredients available and source locally whenever possible. We could tell the staff really enjoyed their jobs—they were friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. We liked the burgers and fries, though we did feel the portions were a bit small for the price. We were also a little bummed they didn’t have ranch. Other than that, it was a great spot for a bite!

the first time i had wally two years ago, i thought it was one of the best smash burgers id ever had. flavorful and juicy center with nice crispy edges. but now the burgers aren’t really what i would call a smash burger. they’re much thicker, not really “smashed”, and often undercooked in the center. also they don’t hold up well if you order to go, they get really soggy in the wrapper which is a bummer. love the fries.

Quality food. Simple, counter serve place, with a handful of burger options. Had a good gluten-free bun, that my wife had and enjoyed. They also have a vegetarian option and a chicken burger option. Food was very tasty. Outside seating was nice. We were primarily served by the manager who was very attentive, friendly and helpful.

After 7 1/2 hour drive… this place was quite the unexpected surprise. I had the wally. This thing was utterly delicious. Their bacon jam is mouthwatering and savory. Currently, the best burger I’ve ever had. And hot damn, the fries are top notch. Crispy and bespoke just for you.

We came here for a quick stop before our flight. We saw this place as a high rated restaurant and did not disappoint. These burgers are truly game-changer. Great little burger shop! And I mean, little! We went at a busy time and they were packed, we had to wait for seating for a little bit after we ordered, maybe 5-10min. They served us our drinks and allowed us to hang out until a table opened up. But the staff were all very efficient, quick to clean off the tables after people left. Great experience.

My husband got their regular Wally burger and I got some special burger they had available with pineapple, arugula, and jalapeños. If that one is available, GET IT! The fries were also delicious and fresh, not greasy at all. Now we know why the place was so busy, because it’s worth it. We went around 6pm on a Friday night, pretty sure the rest of Missoula was there with us, but by the time we finished eating, the place was starting to clear relatively quickly. They also have outdoor seating as well, but it was cold outside when we went, hence the inside being full.

The service is adequate, and the space is loud. I don’t like the seeming trend of bad acoustics in restaurants. But you’re here for the burger, and the Wally burger is probably the best one I’ve had in 3 years.

This was my first visit and was based purely on the recommendation of both Grok and Gemini LLMs. I ordered the Wally burger and fries. The fries were shoestring style with salt and pepper and were served with ketchup. The burger was ordered with no modifications and was cheesy and greasy. The patty was surprisingly bland but the burger overall was “good” but not great. Prepare for a super juicy burger. I made the mistake of setting it down after a few bites and when I went to pick it back up the bottom bun disintegrated it was so wet from the drippings. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and very willing to answer questions. They even came and bussed my table and took my garbage when I was done.
Overall It cost me $18 for a burger and fries. With other options in the area like Frugal’s which has an equally tasty burger without the prime price I can’t say this is a “must visit” establishment.

I had the OG burger, fries and a side of wally sauce. It was one of the more delicious burgers I’ve ever had. Just a simple smash burger, but so good! The fries were amazing. Crispy, seasoned and delicious. The staff was great, vibe was awesome. Whenever I come back to town, I’m coming back!
