You would think with all the negative feedback management/corporate would do something about this establishment.
I went here back in December with a friend that had never had DQ before. To say we were both highly disappointed would be an understatement. The service was awful and they were out of pretty much everything – even the “featured” Blizzards on the menu they said they didn’t serve. We basically ended up asking, “What DO you have?” because everything we ordered they were out of. Also, this location has no chocolate ice cream not used the Dairy Queen app. To top it off, the boys working were had an awful attitude, and I’m one to brag on southern hospitality, as I’m a Georgia native but my friend was visiting from Utah. Definitely didn’t showcase that at this location. Awful experience. Pretty sure she’s written off DQ forever.
I go back a couple months later per the request of my mother (whom I warned about my prior experience). We ordered two Blizzards and a milkshake. They fulfilled several orders after ours and after waiting a good twenty or so minutes we asked about our order. They said they have to make it still. False. Turns out they had everything sitting in the freezer for who knows how long while we just stood in the lobby area and waited. There was only one order in front of us and it took about thirty minutes just for us to get ice cream. 0 for 2 and will not return.

I’ve been to this Dairy Queen several times. It’s ok at best.

The initial bummer is this location does not take app orders or app rewards. This location really needs a renovation physically and technologically. I love using the app but can’t use it here. They won’t take it. And, any free items that are in the app you can’t get at this location.

The employees are a revolving door. There’s been a few good ones but seems like high schoolers lately. And not well trained. I’ve gotten 2-3 blizzards not served upside down. So, I should get 2-3 free ones, right?

I went there at 8:40pm on a Saturday and was told they were closed. Two more cars came after me and were also turned away. Does this location have shorter hours on the weekend than the weekday? I couldn’t see the door for hours but Google and Apple both show later hours (like 10pm or 11pm). There were employees in the DQ as one was turning people away and another was sitting in the dining area just hanging out.

I’m not sure if management of any kind cares. It doesn’t really seem so. The DQ is in a good spot. It’s just sad to see it be ignored by management and employees.

What are the actual store hours?

Went thru the drive thru. Ordered the chicken strips and fries and an m and m blizzard. Blizzard was decent but the food tasted like it had been sitting there since lunch. Pay nearly 15 bucks just to get old and nearly cold food handed to me? Not ideal when you worked all day and want a hot meal which isn’t easy to find when your a truck driver.

Got in line at the drive through at 8:40. Took 18 minutes with 6 cars in front of me. Got to the order speaker at 8:58 and they turned off the light and said sorry we’re closed and their computer is shut down, so they couldn’t help us if they wanted. There google page says they’re open until 9:30. I hope the owner is aware. There were 4 people at the front door and 4 cars behind me. Based on the reviews, it’s hard to believe corporate DQ allows this location to remain open. It’s a real hit to their reputation. I am also sending an email to DQ corporate. What a disservice to those franchisees who work hard to make money and support the DQ brand.

Fast food quality “beef” similar to other fast food chains. Seemed short staffed and the place was lacking on cleanliness and tidiness. Stock of cups and baskets were stacked in the hallway to the bathroom. The few employees who were there were very friendly and efficient at getting food out to the customers.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this location entirely. The individual working the window was dismissive, refused to listen, and couldn’t even take a simple order correctly. When questioned, he became argumentative instead of providing basic customer service.

From what could be seen through the window, the interior of the establishment appeared noticeably unclean—an immediate red flag for any food service business.

For the same price, CoConuts downtown offers far better quality, a clean environment, and staff who actually respect their customers. The contrast is staggering.

This Dairy Queen should take a hard look at its operations. Either improve dramatically or close the doors. Customers deserve better.

I have never had such a horrible experience at a DQ! How can you mess up a blizzard!?!? Sour bad fruits, gross brownies and green food coloring floating on top. It made both me and my husband sick. Did not see a grade sign posted at drive thru or we would have said no thanks. It’s nasty inside, I did get a refund.

The absolute worst store I have EVER been in. Wait staff was too preoccupied on their cell phones to clean this RATCHET and NASTY store. The girl running the register was SITTING ON THE COUNTER…

And this store doesn’t accept the digital coupons/app deals… We were refused the ability to use FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER…

My wife just pulled her app up and DQ app sent her a message saying, “you’ve rocked up the points this year- over 11K points”
We do a lot of DQ because our kids love it.. But this Cartersville store is a DUMP and don’t participate in coupons that the app says they do- we even made sure we had the correct location chosen.

Will NOT be back and DO NOT recommend…They need to close- keep clean and re train!

I went to dq to get some ice cream for me and my wife. I ordered a large cookie dough blizzard and a large Oreo blizzard with extra Oreos. The cookie dough blizzard was just a liquid and the Oreo blizzard wasn’t even mixed. I mean how hard is it to make a blizzard and then charge almost 15 bucks for crap you can get better and cheaper anywhere else. If I wanted soup I’d grab some from the store. I assume that when I go try to get a refund it’ll be just as bad. Never coming back here again

The worse.store ever. The lady at the window was rude and couldn’t under the order, the ice cream had hair in it, and when I went back into the store the guy said oh sorry and fixed another blizzard half way. I will never go back.
