Incredible!!! If you enjoy expresso or coffee drinks, an absolute must. Be prepared however that you will have an ID check. Gray hair and wrinkled skin not exempted (Good for business!!) Loved the experience.

I give Walker’s two stars instead of one because my poor experience is exclusively due to one person working behind the bar, who is suspect is the blonde woman referenced in other poor reviews. I learned when I tried to order that Walker’s doesn’t take tap, and my students and I had already agreed to do solo work there today, so rather than move my class, I just went to a neighboring coffee shop and got something else, not realizing Walker’s didn’t allow outside drinks. As soon as I came back, this employee flagged me down and I explained the situation. She said her boss wouldn’t allow it, so I asked if I could speak to her boss. I’m not here to get anyone in trouble for following a rule, so her boss would be the person to talk to instead. She just got more belligerent with me. It’s a minor thing. It had been a long morning, and I just wanted to have a coffee. There was hardly anyone in there except me and my students, and we weren’t bothering anyone. There was no attempt to be kind or work with me. So my students and I decided to move to a different location. As I was talking to my students to explain why we were moving, this employee began yelling at me from behind the bar, in front of my students, saying I was being rude and wouldn’t let up. I told her we were just trying to leave. She kept yelling at me, even as we were just peacefully exiting the door, saying that I was the adult in the group and this is how I chose to behave in front of my students. Adults walk away when they are faced with service that continues to be belligerent, which is exactly what we did.

One of the staff was incredibly rude to our professor. Our class of 6 all ordered drinks with the intent to work in small groups at Walkers, but our professor was unable to order (Walkers doesn’t accept Apple/Google Pay). When our professor returned with coffee from a different shop, she was aggressively and repeatedly chastised by the employee, even though we all began packing up to leave. The employee continued to be aggressive and loud, and every other customer was staring. The employee did not stop until we were all outside. The coffee was also way too sweet and not worth the money with so many better options around.

Absolutely judgmental and fake place. They recommend you in 2023 to still wear your mask. If you don’t have the look then you might not even go in there. By the way how do you drink coffee or a beverage with your mask on? Fakeness $3 bill status. Bunch of other better places to go in Athens in this place. If you don’t fit in they don’t want you there anyways. Stay away

Walkers is a really chill place to go study during the day, and get drinks at night. They have boozy coffees, teas, and hot chocolate for cold nights and an amazing boozy iced tea. Their regular iced tea in general is very good. Ample seating inside and outside.

I can’t count how many times I studied here in my undergrad and grad years. Great coffee and tea selection, love the vibe. The one annoying thing is the wifi will kick you off every hour and you have to re-login, which wasn’t fun to find out in the middle of a zoom lecture.
