They were pretty short-staffed, but Ian was the man! We were impressed with how quickly he came out with our food. Everything was cooked to order and the burgers were awesome! The wings, however, had way too much sauce on them. I thought they were very vinegary. And I thought the “queso” they put on their nachos was gross.

Ian took our order, and also made one of the best burgers we ever had. He was very friendly and put a lot of care into the food. Ian alone deserves a 6 stars out of 5! We’ve been to other locations, but this exceeded all expectations today!

Horrible customer service.1 pm on a Wednesday and an older blonde with glasses frantically telling counter person to shut it down right after they take a couples order in front if me. She was very abrasive to myself and the other workers and I’ve never been treated like this by anyone at any food place. Grabbed manager of the the store and she made them make the order. The lady complained the whole time. Won’t be going back to this location again. Bad first impression for this store for sure.

We decided to try it out, regardless of the poor reviews, because it was convenient, and they have free kids meals this month. But I wanted to add a review since our overall experience was great. Honestly, the food is not 5*. Burgers were good, but not awesome. Fries were well cooked and a good size serving, but just basic, no interesting flavor. The sweet potato tots were an interesting variation. My kids enjoyed the Grilled Cheese (and it was much larger than most grilled cheese kid’s meals). The chicken tenders were fine and well cooked, but not the most flavorful. But I’m giving 5 stars because the customer service was actually really awesome! Torrance (probably spelled that wrong) took our order and answered our questions. He was friendly and super helpful. Because of the reviews I was expecting it to be slow, so we went to do a few minutes of grocery shopping while waiting; he actually came into the grocery store to look for us and let us know our food was ready after about 10 minutes! He and another super nice employee (didn’t catch his name) both checked on us and went above and beyond to fill requests. (I loved the pickles on the burger and asked for more and he brought me 2 containers, plus to go box options for our leftovers.) Since it’s more of a fast casual concept, I wasn’t expecting them to check in at all after dropping off our food, so I was impressed.

Wow what a tragedy!! They have no idea what they are doing! I’m speechless, a kindergartner could run this place better. We were sitting here waiting for our food that our server awkwardly turned into kitchen over 20 mins before and she literally came back and asked us to pay and we haven’t even got our appetizer yet. What?!?! Who pays at a restaurant before the food is delivered….Server keeps complaining about being in pain and the bartender is lounging and talking sports with the only two other patrons in the place and ignoring her complaining. Madison Wahlburgers is a complete failure! Really! No one knows what they are doin and they are fighting w each other. The waitress has obviously never waitressed before and the bartender doesn’t seem anymore competent. If you’ve read this and other reviews like it and your finding yourself regretting it like am….. it’s on you bro!!

This place is setup kind of weird. You order your food in the Hyvee part and then wait for it in the Wahlburgers part. Service was slow and they seemed understaffed. The vegas location was better.

The cashier at the Janesville HyVee location would not accept my order until I removed my hat. He literally said that. I was simply wearing a winter hat. I found the comment extremely rude and inappropriate. The second cashier however accepted my order and I let it slide. The order took forever. When I checked back, the crew said they had mistakenly given the order to someone else. They restarted the order. When it looked like I’d never get the order, I asked to speak with the manager. It was only then that they handed it me the take out. They did not look particularly busy. The only reason I could possibly see for their behavior is the fact that I speak with a foreign accent. It is a disgrace!

I see plenty of bad reviews, but I ended up here today while waiting for my car to be fixed nearby. I have to say, pretty much everything was great! The cashier was very nice and made sure they had what we were asking for right away, the chef, Ian, was super kind and made sure we liked the food when he brought it out, the busser was sweet and attentive, and the food was actually pretty nice! The chicken was moist and seasoned well, sauce was tasty, and portion size was very good! The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because many of the tables that said they were clean still had crumbs or a little gunk on them, but nothing crazy dirty. Overall, a good experience!
