Had a fantastic time dining here with my grandmother! The kids devoured their Mickey Mouse pancakes, and my pork chops were absolutely delicious. The service was top-notch, and the staff was phenomenal – even though they were busy, our food arrived quickly. The Waffle Shoppe is a nice place to eat. The food is usually good, though there are times when it is just average. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean, including the bathrooms. The decor is also nice.

Overall this is a good place to get a decent breakfast and the staff works hard the issue i have is with check out and how they charge for using a credit/debit card. There’s no sign post stating if you use your card and extra fee is charged. I’m not naive to the fact that credit card companies charge for servicing restaurants however I am use to being informed before I pay that a percentage of the meal will be added to the bill if a card is used. Also, if I do use a credit or debit card it would be nice to get an itemized receipt to know what I was charged per item ordered. Again good food and service pricing needs to be more transparent.

The place was roomy and clean. We have been to waffle houses all over. They are usually crowded and only seat four. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. We waited a long time for menus because the lady would rather visit than do her job. Please do go there and say she doesn’t get paid that much. She knew her pay grade when she took the job. Ordered smother hash browns and blt. Hash browns were mushy, blt came on a plate two slices of toast two thin slices of tomato on the side and 3 small pieces of lettuce on the side then we where offered a pack of mayonnaise and mustard. I didn’t know I came to build a sandwich. Was very disappointed. First and last.

I took momma out for breakfast and met up with my oldest son. It was nice being able to laugh with my family and no one was disturbed. The food is delicious and very affordable!! Their hours of operation are even great. You can’t miss them.

Me and my mom went here not long ago and I loved it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was like being at home, and the staff were a delight. So if you are even traveling through DeRidder I suggest you give this place a try. We had a great time and enjoyed ourself on our mother daughter day. The onions rings were our favorite but everything was great.

Where to begin? Absolutely loved our experience here Monday (Jan. 8th). Nice paced environment, absolutely delicious food, very clean and the staff are absolutely so friendly and amazing people. I absolutely love them! They even made mickey shaped pancakes for my kiddos. I also really appreciated how communicative, inclusive and friendly they were with my autistic and deaf child. Definitely a place I recommend for anyone to go to!

The lady I spoke to was soo friendly. I had to order food to go. She seemed happy to take the order. Told me I could have a seat at a table to wait. Then gave me a cup of coffee while I waited. When the food was ready she brought it out, and a to go cup of coffee.
This food was delicious!. The waffle and Carmel saauve…delightful. the biscuit and sausage gravy, of course was delish. And that Ribeye and eggs was awesome. So every thing about this breakfast was fantastic from the first interaction with the lady to the last interaction with our taste buds. Great job!

If I could give them a zero I would. Very very disappointing. Ask for egg white omelette and received something I can’t explain. Wanted to have a great breakfast with my family and it failed horribly. From the pancakes to the steak. Food had to sit for a while cause we wanted it medium it came out well done. Just a real bad experience. I am a small business owner. I always want to take care of the customer first. I wish I would have taken pics of it all.

Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. Even brought butter when there already was some I didn’t see. The food was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere made us feel right at home.
Recommend to steak and eggs and the chopped steak melt.
