This place reminds me of a modern version of a fifties diner. For a quick and filling meal at a very reasonable price, it is hard to beat Waffle House. The store on George O’Neal Lane is always clean and always friendly. They serve breakfast twenty-four hours a day and have a more complete menu for those who prefer something else. Large portions, good food and very quick service.

Everything was great as always. They have the best pork chops! I don’t know anyone that doesn’t love Waffle House. I’d eat food from here if they had a drive thru. Heck if they just let you place phone orders I’d probably eat from here almost every day.

It’s a well run Waffle House. That might have been the most technically perfect waffle I’ve ever seen. It did not disappoint. Eggs came exactly as ordered, hash browns extra crispy as requested too.

Sometimes it’s good. Sometimes it’s just no. More good though. I realized it’s certain times. You will know when you walk in. They have a tell. Oh, they run out of grits a lot. Kind of counterproductive for a breakfast spot. You would think at some point somebody would get the picture and cook more grits. This is the south people. They could use a dedicated bus person. They don’t clean well. Passing a towel over the table is not cleaning the table nor the sitting area.

Christain was our waiter. Not a good one. First off, give customers a menu. Not geeser friendly to have to look at a menu on a smart phone. I understand social distancing but he could have come more than 6 feet from the table. As for the food, it was the worse Waffle House food we have ever had. Ham was rubber, toast was not buttered , both my over medium eggs were broke on the grill so no yoke. Never had garlic flavored hash browns till now. I ordered a side of gravy and it was so thick you could slice it. My husband ordered a waffle and was burnt on the outside but still doughy on the inside. Needless to say everything was cold. Hard to imagine since the grill was 15 feet from the table. The floors were filthy, my seat had to be wiped off to sit down and the final kicker was our waiter bussing the booth next to us with a garbage can pulled up to it.

I ordered the quarter pounder angus burger. It came with toast as buns, instead of regular burger buns, which they normally have. They didn’t bother to say they were out of regular buns. The barely gave me onions on my hashbrowns. On my boyfriends order, the sausage was as dry as a hockey puck. The big big lady, who was the manager, was on her phone the whole time, while everyone else was working. She had an attitude when asked for ketchup packets.
